Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Leafs are completely unraveling. Just in time for the playoffs
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 WTF is going on? This is getting concerning.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 This really s***** lull by Andersson is better to get out now than the playoffs. His head hasn't been in it.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Well now. Lol. Still a little worried about Andersen but like Spank said it’s best to get it out now.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Andersen was s*** last March too... And took it into the playoffs with him.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Flyers were lucky they even had a lead in this game. Leafs controlled the pace of play throughout the entire game.

Agreed, Andersen's play's been a bit shoddy, hopefully they all shake it off after this win. 13 goals on his last 52 shots, yikes!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Colorado just kissed the playoffs good-bye, I would think.

And I'm concerned about Freddie. This is the second March in a row he's been quite marginal. I hope to god this doesn't linger and carry over like it did last season. We need him sharp. If he is, I really like our chances.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 I have no issue with Leafs starting Sparks for a few games and hope he just needs a bit of rest. They were showing that no goaltender that played as much as Freddy have went on to the Cup final, and I was thinking he needs a rest, but that could just be noise.

That doesn't even make any sense. He's played 53 games this season. If he plays every game for the rest of the season he'll finish with 64. He played 66 in each of the past 2 seasons. That's hardly an absurd amount. Goalies used to play 70, 75, 80 games back in the day. There has to be more to the stat than this. Maybe no goalie in the past 5 years has played more than 66 games and won a cup, I'm sure there have been plenty of goalies that have played more than Freddie and won cups.

I was thinking the same thing, honestly. TSN panel were talking about it, like it were doom and gloom. Especially going on at the amount of rubber he's faced, like I said, that's just likely noise. He has been brutal the last 3 games, I'm not too worried about it, though.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Leafs showing up on time again...
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Well so much for that bit of excitement
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 That reaction by Dubas says it all!
