Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 This post, uh... has zero taste! Only Boxy, though. Spank, I think something got wedged up your ass. Can you tone down your whole "I'm a huge, easily offended bitch" thing you've got going on.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 This is epic! That's amazing lol. Skinner is good finally gets to escape the abysmal situation. They should have got a massive haul for him at the deadline. NHL GM's make some really good dumb trades at the Deadline and period quite frankly.

That's like going to the Orioles to the Royals
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Mark Stone signs a 1-year deal. So Stone, Karlsson, and Duchene are all scheduled to become UFAs on July 1st. The team also hasn't done anything to the roster all offseason, except for downgrading from Hoffman to Boedker. So the team that finished 30th last year has been made worse on paper, despite them not even owning their 1st round pick. The incompetence on display is off the charts.

I forgot they traded their 2019 1st to the Avs, ouch.

I'm sure you can come up with a chart to display it accurately.

Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Holy mother of f***, has anybody seen Elliott Freedman lately. How the hell do SportsNet let him go on tv looking like that. Wowzers!
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Rumor has it that Erik Karlsson won't sign an extension with any Canadian team. So the Senators have basically ruined an entire country for Karlsson.

And he’s not being traded to Toronto.

Could Karlsson not have opt out clauses built into his deal that allows him to become a FA basically whenever he wants? He's the kind of elite player that could get away with demanding that kind of concession.

Why live in Edmonton or Winnipeg when he’ll have lucrative offers to live in Vegas, Florida, California, and New York in 10 months?

Winning, you'd hope would be a part of it. Otherwise, if it's just 'where is it cool to live', then I don't want that kind of player on my team.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 TB, Vegas, SJ, and possibly New York will give him a fine opportunity to win. TB for sure. I'm still not sold on Vegas being able to duplicate what they did last season. SJ I don't think has a big window. New York is at least a couple of years away. Yes, there are US cities that are serious contenders, in warmer climates, and with hardly any scrutiny...and if it's the microscope he's looking to get away from, then that's unfortunate. Who wants to play in a market where no one cares.
