Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 I get warm and tingly watching Matthews and Nylander.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 4-4... but it's still so fun to watch
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Matthews hands on the penalty in that slo-mo replay were still damn quick lol
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Leafs had the lead in every game going into the 3rd in every game(5)... 4 on the road, lost 1 in regulation, 2 in OT, 1 in a shootout...
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Subban starting in goal tonight for the B's!
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Freddy Andersen working out really well so far.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Freddy Andersen working out really well so far. Well what else do you expect from the Ginger, just be glad he isn't after your soul.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Anderson has looked really bad so far.... Big contract for the unproven goalie.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Anderson has looked really bad so far.... Big contract for the unproven goalie. I really have no idea why that front-office decided to move a 1st and 2nd for a mediocre goalie then extend him for 5/25, but I'm pretty happy about what moves like that and Matt Martin says about their process.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Nolan Patrick will be another nice piece for the buds.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Nolan Patrick will be another nice piece for the buds. How long do you think until Andersen is buried in the AHL?
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Nolan Patrick will be another nice piece for the buds. Nah he is going to be moving from Brandon just Straight East to Winnipeg.

I've seen a ton of Andersen since he entered the league, he's a starting caliber goalie and I am confident he will settle in and play well for Toronto (not a Leafs fan btw).

Even if he does that was a terrible contract from the beginning. Paid $25 Million for an average goalie. Lou made some stupid moves in the offseason with the Martin signing as well. Should just let Dubas do his thing..
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 How long do you think until Andersen is buried in the AHL? He won't be in the A unless he gets injured and needs a conditioning stint. The team isn't going to make a playoff run this season. Everyone knows that (or should know that). It's about giving the core playing time, and having them develop. Andersen has been terrible... And there is cause for concern... But this is a last place team. Of course there are going to be problems. Hopefully, he can turn it around... But it's not all on him. This team needs upgrades to the D... And that will come.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Mitch Marner is really good at ice hockey.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Holy f*** did you guys see that Marner assist? Crazy!
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Nylander is solid and impressive. He is such a team player. Rare player to find....quiet and lethal. Doesn't need much room/time to make something happen. Matthews is golden...so calm yet in full in control like Mario...Captain Marner has been the guy I have been waiting to watch...game changer his style is not what I grew up watching but the league has changed and this kid is LIGHTS OUT. He creates ice space at ease! Everyone has said Matthews/Marner compare to Toews/Kane...I see it ( Marner/Kane more ) What about Nylander? A prime Spezza? Henrik Sedin type? I am jacked about this core...Griffith what a player I am liking him also... Our 3 rookies are top 3 in rookie points lol lets go calder
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 oh and Anderson played a great game...3rd period did a great job...1 bad goal but that happens. I am still fully on the side of the rebuild however with this young core right now...I don't believe the pain will last too long... Get a nice high pick draft a D if he is the best player ( D heavy draft ), one of our young D pans out, some of our young guys turn into key role players, trade/sign for another top 2-3 D and 1 more top 6 forward would be perfect
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 I am drunk so i keep posting but whoever says Martin was a bad signing doesn't know hockey...our kids are LIGHTING IT UP...other teams will start to push them around esp Marner/Nylander and then will come Martin. Just wait

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 would be nice if the leafs could get a shut out... is that an impossible dream?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 I just want to see the young kids have a good game. Not worried about the final result. Winning will come... But this team isn't there yet.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Dubnyk 3 straight shutouts. Wowzers!
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 and here I am facing him in my yearly re-draft. d'oh!
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 William Nylander is a f***ing monster. Scoring chance almost every shift. Watching him skate is beautiful.
