Columbus is an easy bottom 5 org. So many stupid moves. This one isn't that bad but the Saad, Wisnewski, Clarkson, Gaborik, Carter suggest a common theme.

I wouldn't say that. Number 1 Dmen are plenty valuable but Jones isn't that. Johansen has the potential to be a number 1 C and already is a really good number 2C.

Jones is still very young with a lot of games already played. I think he's also been blocked from excelling by other top D in nashville.

I think I saw something posted on here from last year that said Karlsson was the most valuable defenseman in the league according to advanced metrics, and he was still only rated around 45th overall in the whole league or something.

I don't know a ton but that sounds a touch conservative if not agreeable to me

I think Forwards, Centres especially are the most valuable but I highly doubt Karlsson was only the 45th best or most valuable player in the league last year. He's easily a top 10 player in the league right now and might even be borderline top 5.
