GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2015 Author Posted June 27, 2015 Leafs' Korostolev is the same age as Pavel Zacha, and played on the same team as Zacha as well. Korostolev had a higher PPG than Zacha. Zacha went 6th overall. Korostolev went 185th.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Hamilton trade is a little more understandable now. http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/787386 Dougie Hamilton does what he wants. The restricted free-agent defenseman, who was traded from theBoston Bruins to the Calgary Flames in a blockbuster prior to Friday's NHL Draft, had a 'very significant' offer on the table from the Bruins prior to the trade, which he rejected. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman has the details of the offer in his latest 30 Thoughts column. From Friedman:The best information I can give you is it appears the team offered six years and $33M to Hamilton, while the response was about $2M per year higher. Hamilton, 22, was drafted 9th overall in the 2011 draft and is considered to be one of the top rising D-men in the game, recording 42 points in 72 games this past season. The Flames have until July 1 to sign the blue-liner.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Hamilton trade is a little more understandable now. http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/787386 That explains a lot. Hard to fault the Bruins for not wanting to pay him 7.5M per year. Still, get a f***ing useful player back for someone like Hamilton.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Zacha is the much better propect lol. He had a lot to deal with last year. Not the point
Frag Verified Member Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Mike Richards' contract terminated by the Kings for what seems to be an off-ice incident. This is getting more and more interesting. Though, I wonder why the Kings did not terminate the contract of Slava Voynov... oh yeah, not as big of a cap hit.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 What did Mike Richards do? Something involving the border and serious enough that the Kings think they'll win a legal battle over terminating his contract, serious enough that the media is scared to report it without proper documentation, but not serious enough that he was arrested. Weird story.

King Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Wasn't it Mike Richards who was caught doing blow in Vegas? Jarret stoll
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 To bad Jarret Stoll doesn't have a terrible contract the Kings want to get out of

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Jones for a first. PLEASE TRADE BERNIER NOW Leafs could get a lot if they sold a few guys
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I'm hearing Saad was traded to the Jackets
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Columbus is going to be so good. Probably starts next year. Jarmo Kekalainen is smart.
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Pens were also right there for Sadd but lost out. Hawks most likely couldn't move Sharp for anything decent or similar situation to Boston afraid of the offer sheet
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Blue Jackets had a pretty good team last year but couldn't stay healthy
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 So Richard's is being investigated for Oxycontins by the RCMP, lol.

Frag Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Apparently, talks heating up between the Pens and Leafs wrt Kessel
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Let the overpriced contracts begin! As long as leafs don't sign anyone over 3 years I'll be content.
