Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Kessel and Kadri with only 9 minutes each in the first 40
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Bernier gives up lots of horrible goals when he does lol Game over. Embarrassing effort
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Let's put orr with kadri and expect some great chemistry. Screw off rc
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 11 minutes of icetime for the top line in the first 50 minutes.....
Nox Verified Member Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Martin Erat and Brooks Laich will swap positions on Washington's second line on Friday. Erat will center the unit while Laich will serve as a left winger. Washington's second line has struggled this season and it looks like Capitals coach Adam Oates wants to shake things up a bit without impacting his first or third lines. Nov 22 - 1:19 PM Washington Post Oates, lol. Battle of the blockheads tomorrow night!! How about not having Brooks f***ing Laich in your top 6 period, Adam.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Yup, face punchers get regular shifts but don't fight, and "McClaren is the engine that keeps this team moving forward"......why do I live in this CITY!!!!! Would now be a good time to mention that there's not a single team in the Eastern Conference that would be in a playoff spot if they were in the West? I know it's early enough that it won't keep up all year but at the 25% mark of the season, I think it's still pretty noteworthy.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 The only Eastern team with a winning record is Tampa, after losing last night they fell to 7-2. It's really quite interesting when you think of the star power that is in the Eastern Conference, Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin, Stamkos, Tavares, 7 of the top 10 scorers in the league are in the East.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 No, I had a beer with him a few years ago in Saskatoon but not a peep since.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 lol guys on the Leafs board (HFboards) want to trade Kadri because apparently Peter Holland makes him expendable lol.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 Holy s***. Look at this. This is a thread from FEBRUARY 2012 from the Leafs' board. http://fans.mapleleafs.nhl.com/community/index.php?/topic/66000-young-center/ I don't follow young players much or draft picks but I happened to be looking around at teams prospects and one kinda jumped out. The ducks have been good trading partners with us in the past and have done a minor deal not too long ago. For anyone that follows young players what do you think about trying to get Peter Holland from the Ducks. http://www.nhl.com/i...l.htm?dpid=5341 Scouting reports say he is projected to be a good power forward, plays center, seems to have decent point production. He's a Toronto kid with good size and a 1st round pick (15th overall) in the 09 draft Maybe sending a package including some good D prospects like Blacker or someone else might work? With Getzlaf at the number 1 spot this guy might be movable? or visa versa Maybe this guy will make Getzlaf movable? What do you think? That's crazy.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 So Erat is scratched for tonight's game? Oates is a jackass.
Nox Verified Member Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 So Erat is scratched for tonight's game? Oates is a jackass. Gotta get the unstoppable Brooks Laich and Jason the "Ice Cheetah" Chimera more burn. Not to mention newly minted sniper Joel Ward. That team is really horrific. They'd probably be the worst team in the league without Ovi.
Frag Verified Member Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 So Erat is scratched for tonight's game? Oates is a jackass. Rielly scratched for tonight's game for Mark "Cement Legs" Fraser.
Frag Verified Member Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 lol Battle of the Dimwit Coaches!

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Wow grabo skate to the face. Looks like just a cut, could have been way worse.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Wow grabo skate to the face. Looks like just a cut, could have been way worse. Grabo will now proceed to light the Leafs up in the third.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Reimer is so damn good. Reimer is an absolute monster. Man that Ovechkin goal was sick though.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Reimer is an absolute monster. Man that Ovechkin goal was sick though. Was such a weird bounce.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Not surprisingly, Erat wants out of Washington. In April he came to Washington with enthusiasm. But it only took six months for hockey forward Martin Erat to wearily say: "I want to get away as quickly as possible." "It bothers me, and I hope it will get solved. I believe that I will not stay here too long and I get the opportunity to play on another team," Erat said in an interview iDNES.cz. "I am getting no time on the ice. It's hard to show when you play ten or twelve minutes," complains Erat. "At the beginning of the season it was perhaps only seven minutes. And then when it went up, the coach made me play in more defensive than offensive situations." A trade to another team in the NHL may be a matter of days and Erat's agent is working hard to make it happen. "Yes, we talked about how to solve it. Hopefully something will happen and I'll be out of here as quickly as possible," Erat repeats .
Nox Verified Member Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Not surprisingly, Erat wants out of Washington. Good thing they didn't trade a legit prospect for him or anything. Oh wait.
