Dellow mentioned goalie WAR in past articles (which you can read here). I've used it a few times based on his methods, as well as a WAR for forwards/defencemen by using average 13th forwards/7th defencemen as the replacement player. Still a work in progress, however.

What is wrong with the Leafs? s***ing the bed vs. Columbus, this is embarrassing. No hustle, no pressure, getting killed on the faceoffs.

 

Our PP ends up giving them more chances. I hate how every time we have an off zone faceoff on the pp you just know they're gonna clear it right away.

Here's an update... The league has turned into a shitshow. Originally, there was only 9 teams in the league (lol) and the Commish couldn't find anyone else to join so he made a 2nd team for himself and another guy already in the league so we could draft... Probably a bad decision. They both trade rape the non team so that they can get all the best players (IE Dude traded Camallari from his first team for Ovechkin on the 2nd team) and they don't seem to see anything wrong with that. The worst part about this is that they made each person in the league pay $5, so that is cheap as a mother f***er.

 

Commish didn't add any injured reserve spots, so if you have an injured star player you can't place them on the IR or drop them because they are a star (Pekka Rinne for example). Which leaves you without a roster spot .. ....

 

The top scoring forwards in the league have just over 50 points each, there is 30+ goalies in the league with over 50 points and the top goalies are over 80. The top defenseman in the league have barely over 30 points, and there is only two of them over 30. Maybe 10 are above 20, so defenseman in this league are useless.

My team is great, I'm the only player in the league with 4 goalies. Every night a goalie has a chance to give you 15+ points! and nobody has seemed to pick up on that. My team hasn't had the greatest start, I'm 1-2 record but this is my week with all 4 goalies as Lehtonen and Backstrom were injured.

The injury bug is hitting me this year. Gio, Kulie and Letang have all missed time so far. Abomination, I sent you out an offer I think you may like.

 

My goaltending is getting slightly better and it's looking like less of an area of need and more like the solid tandem that I envisioned but I'm not 100% satisfied. I need a defenseman, though. I now also have some Corsi leaders in Phaneuf, Spurgeon and Vlasic.

No idea. I've been trying to find out information, can't really find much. NYR keep telling the media they have no updates, and "nothing new", so it certainly can't be good.
