Lots of talk the Leafs are making a final push to resign Kessel before the season begins. Hopefully they can work something out.

Holzer is the 8th defensemen on this team, not too sure who you have ahead of him. You could make a case for Rielly but all indications are that he'll only get a 9 game tryout.

Holzer is the best player in that group at the moment. I'm expecting Percy and Granberg to pass him this year but, Blacker is in the process of changing his game to suit the NHL better. He still needs to get stronger on the puck and in his own end. Hopefully he takes another step forward this season as well. All 3 of those guys would get shown up at the NHL level right now. Holzer is fine as a defensive depth guy, getting irregular and minuscule playing time.

Looked great on the big ice though. He needs some time to transition to the NA game but, he's definitely an exciting guy to have in the organization.

He's going to make the team but, he is only getting 9 games. They're talking about keeping him up until the World Junior camp starts and spreading out the 9 games over a couple months. The Leafs think Rielly has a good shot at being Canada's captain for the tournament and he will be given every shot to secure that role.

So the idiot head coach of the TML has already called out Jake Gardiner, and says that time is already running out for him to get back to his play during the playoffs. I can't even believe this? Took a few preseason games and already? I'd lol so hard if Jake Gardiner is a healthy scratch on opening night, or if he is a regular in the pressbox during the season. What a flipping moron. Fire this clown already.

I don't get how people can say s*** like "Grabo just didn't fit into Carlyle's style or system of play" but this is the same coach who gave Mike freaking Kostka and Korbinian Holzer ample playing time. I still can't believe he played Colton Orr more ES minutes in one game than his best player (Kessel).
