How does he continue to get so much ice time? It's laughable.

 

He gets ice time out the ass while Jake Gardiner gets benched pretty much every second game. At least Gardiner's mistakes can be chalked up to his being young. Phaneuf's just a POS.

 

I really can't fathom this.

Phaneuf is the Leafs best player. Place your blame elsewhere because they don't make the playoffs without him

 

Leafs were drawing dead the minute they had to play Boston, Leafs fans are so jaded it's insane

 

Our best player is Reimer and then probably Kessel/Lupul and then Phaneuf, but you're right, Phaneuf is quality, but casual fans love to rag on him. It's stupid.

As much as I cant stand all the mistakes he makes, at least he does bring a lot to the team. O Bryant on the other hand is more useless than a piece of dirt. Back to back games where he made crucial mistakes that lead to key goals

Actually you are right. I just watched the OT goal again from last night and what in the blue f*** was Ryan O'Byrne doing? Kessel was back-checking and had the 2nd Bruin in the 2 on 2 covered. All O'Byrne had to do was step up on Krejci and take him out of the play. f*** man. Why the f*** is this guy on the team let alone playing in a critical situation of a critical playoff game.
