Welcome to the new forum.

This place will be moderated, it will be an ideal place to talk baseball, and hopefully it will be a smooth transition from the old forum.

I will transfer post counts from the old board.

Just request it here, and post on the old forum to verify this is your real account.

Hurl will be a moderator, and there will be one or two more added.

The point is to find someone who can let there be some debating and arguements, without getting delete/ban happy.

Disagreeing with what is popular won't get you banned, but flat out trolling will get you a warning, then a ban.

If you can make your point with reasons to back it up, it will stay. If it's obvious you're just trying to turn this place into a mess,

it will be deleted.

We may add additional forums in the future, but I think for the time being, two is enough. Possibly add a "Game Day" forum that will

have all the game day threads.

Also, feel free to use this post for suggestions. I want people to feel 'at home'. As s***** as the old board's layout was, it was something

we all got used. Some people hate change, but some people also liked the simplicity of it. So I think we need to find a balance.

Welcome to the forum.

2 moves in a week... lets hope 1 of them stick. the old mlb forum is unbearable.

if you want help with moderator, I've got time and am online whenever I'm not sleeping.

I would love to mod, I'm online 99% of the time and I'm pretty cautious when banning and deleting and such.

Looks nice, and quite customizable, which I like.

I'm trying to set an avatar, and I'm in "edit avatar.." and my only option is "do not use an avatar." What do I do?

Hello!!

This seems really cool, lots of options but not too complicated if you don't want it to be.

I love the URL, will definitely attract new posters. With the traffic us current posters are able to bring, getting Google to respect it shouldn't take long.

Okay, I'll let you know. Chappy did a good job filling in, but there's no way a free board will last in the long run, it just won't attract new members unfortunately.

I'll look into that. And consider you for moderator as well. You're a pretty neutral guy.

Welcome to the Jungle. I just posted on the main board. I expect a run of people. I'm going to play with my settings and see what capabilities this board has.

Admin is there a post limit. Like if we are cutting and pasting BA articles? I only quickly read the rules (like any good admin). Is there a way to remove viewing images for those that read at work and such. Are their rules on images?

Excellent work by the way!

been waiting for a new board for a long time. it's been needed for a couple years. a couple have tried but they have not gotten off the ground. need enough people who are interested in baseball in general and not just the jays to keep it going between games.

if all the peeps that migrated to Chappys board come here it will be a good start.

thanks for the effort by the way.

Vbulletin is top notch. I have a few other forums I frequent that use it as a foundation.

AVSforum being my fave

I don't know if people like the ability to like/dislike posts etc, but things would be much cleaner and more compact if that part was eliminated or moved.

Good job though, going to have to play around with things a bit.

Agree, it looks a bit odd. LOVING the multi-quote / jump to unread parts, though.

Avatar is fixed. You can now upload. Little things like this will need to be tweaked as there are literally hundreds of different options.

I agree, I wasn't expecting it to look like that, and it is distracting. I might see if I can move it.

But do you guys like the idea of it? Or would you rather just remove it all together?

Can you make avatars a bit bigger, like on Chappy's forum? I liked being able to see them.

Do you know about Operation Sports? I like the way they do it, incorporating it into the actual post. Aside from that, though, I don't really like it.

Changed it from 80x80 to 120x120, see how that goes. Don't want them too overpowering either.

Really? I don't notice a difference.

I'd suggest removing it entirely, just from the point of view that it will discourage people from asking questions or learning if members are quick to down vote viewpoints they don't agree with (whether the points are stupid or valid).

Sorry try now. I have no idea what I changed the first time.

Lol, I totally tried to set one of Lawrie going to crazy.

To the best of my knowledge with these boards, you'd have to resize it and it just wouldn't go well, I like stills more.
