    Yes exactly. We will never know for sure, teams (or at least some do, the Jays for sure do) use proprietary models based on publicly available data, but how good are those models.

    I said earlier it was a turning point but now I'm changing....thjey lost because of it. Kikuchi came in and gave up 2 runs - even though Berrios walked the last batter the message to the team was clear - you aren't in control no matter how you perform - the players noticed. Atkins and the analytics team .... going into seasons 9 with this FO. 9.

    I think this shows how pissed the players were at the decision to remove Berrios, I was flipping back and forth between SN and ESPN and they were also losing it on that decision

    and he was also asked would he change the game plan depending on how players perform during the game, and he said YES. unbelievable

    A reporter just asked Berrios if he felt robbed ...... he basically said it wasn't my decision
