  1. Players can improve - not sure if he can every be a starter but the important thing is he's delivering
  2. noodle arm Biggio turned that really nicely
  3. even the major league rule - I see now, with video review they can confirm if the ball is lodged or not so no need for the outfielder to signal with his arm
  4. Agree. It's definitely a factor can even be the factor
  5. So normally the outfielder needs to put his arm up to signal the ball is stuck.....did he do that? I didn't see
  6. So the way I look at it is a pitcher can be quicker to home simply by slightly changing his delivery, catchers cannot improve pop times - rare.
  7. If he brings a big bat why not
  8. LOL I know. Just watch though - I doubt he's going anywhere because he's under team control
  9. He definitely needs to get in shape, I'm sure the Jays left him alone after his silver slugger season, same what they did with Manoah and now they're paying for it
  10. The video review that takes 5 mins to check if a runner is out or safe at 2B - is exactly that difference. It makes a difference - everything makes a difference, pitcher slide step combined with catcher pop time combined with catcher throwing. It adds up. Catcher pop time is an important scouting grade for catchers
  11. he has a better pop time than Jansen
  12. Catcher pop times Moreno is 10th overall, Kirk in the 40's, Jansen 50's and Moreno leads the majors in throwouts
  13. Yes that's true but both Kirk and Jansen are near the bottom of the league in pop time
  14. Espinal pulling the s*** out of that ball way against the OF shift
  15. 3 field managers in 8 seasons? if Schneider goes Atkins has to
  16. Horwitz plays LF doesn't he? and aside from that if a prospect is pushing for a promotion especially with a bat like that you find a spot to play him
  17. cowards, all of them.
  18. Yankees converted Michael King to a starter, 5 innings today, 4 K's, 0 runs
  19. Just watching some of the highlights.......Spencer Horwitz has a bat, what a swing. Why did the Jays not bring him up earlier? even last season? That's the kind of bat you to test out at the major league level and see if he can stick. Stupid to leave him down for this long - he's going to be 26 in Nov.
  20. 3 threads talking about the same thing s***ing on 1 player, what fun
  21. Yes. They are finding out the hard way that progression is not linear and it's not easy going from being competitive to being dominant; Shapiro spoke on this a while ago, will be interesting to hear what he has to say after the season is over. Maybe missing the play-offs is better for this team long term - instead of teasing us again by squeking in
  22. well that's not the same as saying it's the easiest on the diamond
