  1. and honestly if it's just King off the mlb club it's not that much to give up, he could easily regress back to being a reliever
  2. Soto to the Yankees soon according to Morosi....
  3. I can't imagine the replacement being better than Ben Wagner, dummies.
  4. He probably wanted to stay, very good signing by the Dodgers - they fixed another hitter
  5. Gibby Mets bench coach https://theathletic.com/5084606/2023/11/22/mets-john-gibbons-bench-coach/
  6. a good way to test it is to reduce the clock to 5 seconds...watch elbows blow
  7. I'm dreaming then.
  8. Yes. I think the latest rumor is Cease
  9. This should have been thoroughly researched, really hope the league is listening to him
  10. I wasn't aware of the new rules....
  11. Manoah pitched in college so he was pretty much developed by the time he turned pro but I agree if he's ready give him a shot - service time manipulation is also a factor
  12. except this FO doesn't have a history of being aggressive with their prospects at least outside bo and vlady
  13. Manoah is my #5 starter provided he comes into st in good shape and is ready to compete, I give him the benefit over White since he's dominated before and White hasn't done much of anything...
  14. good contract for both sides
  15. Yes I think the workload is not conistent throughout the year, specifically pitching in games during the warmer months and going 100% indoors in the winter. The better prospects will go down south to compete in the winter but then it's back fully indoors when they return. Guess that's where the term "cold weather prospect" comes from. There's probably other factors...training related...etc
  16. I forget which pitcher was doing it in the ws but he took the clock down to 1 second before starting his delivering - used it to his advantage even though the batter has to be set by the 8 second mark. I say just leave it for another season
  17. Yea agree but game times increased apparently Major League Baseball's competition committee is weighing a proposal that would reduce the pitch clock with runners on base from 20 seconds to 18 next season, aiming to reverse a late-season trend that saw the average time of game increase by seven minutes, sources told ESPN.
  18. Not surprising, knack and frasso might get a shot this season, Dodgers are filthy rich in prospects
  19. wtf The Jays offered well over $100M in the spring but the sides weren’t close. Chapman is probably shooting for $150M plus. https://nypost.com/2023/11/09/sports/dodgers-still-in-lead-in-shohei-ohtani-sweepstakes/?utm_source=reddit.com (if this was previously posted....I just saw it)
  20. Couple of prospects made some noise in the Fall Stars game https://www.mlb.com/stories/fall-stars-game-top-moments-2023
