  1. can't come in and fall behind batters with the bases juiced
  2. he's 31 years old, what u see is what you will get from him in season
  3. IKF is lost at the plate, can't say it's surprising
  4. Yes you're correct I remember he used to routinely take the extra base in AAA, I automatically assumed he was a great baserunner - for doing so. but up here it seems like a lack of focus / baseball instinct or whatever - it's not good
  5. Poor awareness there by Vlady even with Schwarbers noodle arm, improve your damn base running
  6. he does some crazy workouts in the offseason - looks like he got thicker
  7. that's the big off season splash we were looking for
  8. Good outing by Bowden Francis, good command of the FB, the hammer is ok, if only he had another quality pitch; definitely deserves a shot as the 5th starter
  9. that sounds like it could be the Dodgers, their pitchers all look the same and even some of the hitters; they just picked up SS Noah Miller in a recent trade from the Twins - his swing reminds me of many of the players they developed - almost identical to Chris Taylor's swing.
  10. How the f*** does Cam Eden have more at bats this spring than Orelvis and Barger? ffs get those guys ab's, they need to be tested now
  11. the 1st start in LF he made an amazing diving catch toward the line, has he not looked good otherwise? outside his weak arm
  12. "Chapman, we’re told, turned down a contract extension of six years and about $125 million from the Blue Jays last season" presumably they offered that contract to him in April becaues he sucked the rest of the season
  13. Yes for sure - unlike many of the home grown Dodger talent who are mostly new school lift/upper cut/get the ball in the air; obvioiuls they wouldn't mess with Mookie or Freeman for that matter
  14. I'm pretty sure Vlady changed his swing from new school get behind and under the ball create lift to old school get on top to create back spin - Mattingly (although he did have a bit of an uppercut, maybe he also changed). Will have to see how Vlady does ....it works for Soto
  15. I don't know what his dee stats say but to my eyes he's a terrible outfielder or maybe average at best
  16. The Dodgers moved on from Beli a long time ago, Outman. and Teo was brought in to fill a specific need with the lefty heavy line-up
  17. plus it's unlikely KK plays more than 130 games, he's closer to being a part-time player at this stage in his career
  18. Roden in LF needs to charge that ball - so lazy and Story took advantage of it and went 1st to 3rd
  19. time to move on from Espinal, players like him are a dime a dozen, Dodgers pick up players like this every season - as the 26th man / util player
  20. my logic is I want Barger in the majors. He's 24 and needs to be tested - 4th OF or otherwise makes no difference
  21. give Barger a shot as a 4th OF, he's essentially Vogel at the plate but can play the field.
  22. Umps are in fine form already, geez
  23. I like that they're giving Schneider alot of reps so far so good including a diving catch near the line in LF - I think he's made 2 errors this spring - I only saw the one on a lazy fly ball to shallow right that went off the heel of his glove. His AB's have been pretty good, sometimes chases the high heat but he seems to be able to adjust and work the count. His chase rate was 19% in 2023, that's Juan Soto territory
