    For DeGrom this will cost few young pitchers prospects, like Tidermann, Rojas, Stephen, King. And no crap players like Orelvis, Macko 😄 They will probably try get Nimmala or Yesevage, but Atkins will refuse for sure.

    Atkins should give an ultimatum to Boras and Bregman. If they didn't accept the 6 years contract offer before this Sunday, they will remove the contract offer, and publicly let people know. Instead should be persistent and try convince Arenado to agree be traded to Toronto. Offering him same contact offer that they did to Bregman.

    Next move can be signing Bregman or trade for Robert Jr and sign Moncada to play at 3B, then extend Vlad 12/500M

    I will choose Bregman, because we need a 3B who can hit and bring good defensive, also it's clear that Alonso only use the Jays to get a better offer from the Mets. But on other hands, if Atkins really offered 6/180M to Bregman and he didn't signed yet, main he probably wait for a better offer from the Astros or Red Sox. Ideally we should sign Bregman and Flaherty., With Bregman at 3B, can use Clement at 2B or SS when trading Bichette, without the need find replacement to play SS. In fact, can even trade Bichette for prospects, and use these prospects to acquire Robert Jr. Springer VLAD Robert jr Santander Bregman Clement Kirk Varsho Gimenez

    If trade rumor about Clement traded to DBacks for Montgomery are true, Atkins will be raped again by the Arizona GM. Doing that, we get a SP that underperformed and cost 22M, so DBacks will be able sign Flaherty or trade for Cease. Also we will give them our best utilities player, and if we didn't sign Bregman, our 3B will be Barger. Doing favors to Guardians and DBacks, made me wonder if Atkins want keep opportunities find a new job in Cleveland or Arizona, after he will be fired 🤔

    Bichette need to have a strong spring training camp, so his value will increase, so return will be higher if Slater trade him.

    If we can't get someone like Alonso, Bregman, Robert, Flaherty, it's time to part away with Atkins and replace him with Slater., before too late. Then start a soft rebuild trading Vlad, Bo, Bassitt.

    The "plan" isn't to have Alonso at 1B, Vlad at 3B and Santander LB. It's more have Vlad or Alonso at 1B, the other will be DH, Clement or Barger will start at 3B, and Santander will play at LB. Maybe we can sign Moncada to play 3B, if we aren't comfortable with Clement and Barger at 3B.

    If Alonso and Profar sign here, lot of deferred money will be involved, and the DH will be Santander, Vlad at 3B. But great chance Bichette will be traded.

    The only way for Atkins to save his job now, will be to offer Vlad a 12 years 450-500M contract extension , if he refuses, trade him for very good prospects, then sign Alonso. Also trade Bichette and Bassit for quality prospects , sign Santander, Flaherty and Bregman. When it's done, make a trade with the Padres or Mariners for Castillo or Cease, but be sure you can sign Cease prior to the trade. Money you save on Vlad, Bassit and Bo, can be given to Alonso, Bregman and Flaherty. Use deferral money for Santander, like 5 years contract , fully paid in 2030, but only 1M this year. Next year we get rid of Springer contract, so this will match Santander salary.

    If he sign here, I think he will be the DH, and he will probably have similar impact in the lineup, that Edwin Encarnacion had. The same if we sign Pete Alonso. But the OF Atkins should try to get, is Robert jr.. Bregman I don't think will be a good long term move, will be more like when AA traded for Tulowitski or when Atkins signed Springer, than when we get players like Donaldson, Bautista or Encarnacion. The problem, we don't have many good options at 3B. Bregman or Arenado seem to be the more obvious. Vlad at 3B, I am no confident he can be good defensively.

    Sign Vlad long term convincing him agree for deferral money. Get Helsley and Arenado, Burnes and Santander or Teoscar. If we sign Vlad, Burnes, Teoscar or Santander, chances increasing that Arenado agree for a trade to Toronto. And if he agree, should sign Alonso with deferral money too, so he can play DH. RF-Springer 1B-Vlad 3B-Arenado DH-Alonso LF-Teoscar/Santander 2B-Clement CF-Varsho C-Kirk SS-Gimenez

    Great chance they will trade Bo and probably Bassitt too. Btw if they really only have 23M left to spend, mean they didnÂ’t really had the intention to sign Soto at 700M. Also, with Soto money they saved, they can easily get Burnes at 40, and Alonso or Bregman for 30. Which is a lot better than Soto alone.

    You shouldn't forgot that players in Canada are paid in USD, so they don't really lose money, despite taxes are higher.

    Ah and don't waste money on free agency. Better keep that money for when we will have great young players on rosters and for international drafts

    We need to first get rid of Shapiro, Atkins, Schneider and pitching staff. And then be patient and do what Orioles did, and draft early in the drafts for the next 3 years. We should trade Vlad, Bichette and pitchers for the best prospects clubs have.

    Yes traded to Mariners for irrelevant returns, like all the previous trades the duo Shitkins did and will do this month before trade deadline end.

    Both and Schneider need to be fired. Jays need to rebuild from scratch and they should inspire themselves from what Rays and Orioles do.

    Yep you right, but only Bichette and Clement have enough speed to steal bases. And we shouldn't forget, that Schneider is only a bobble head behind the bench, that the real manager is Atkins and his team of advanced statistics nerds😄

    And to remove Clement from 3B for Turner, instead replace Voldenbach by Turner, it's a bad move of Schneider.
