  1. Boras never make bargain deals. At least, if he's no the one who offering bargain deals 😂 So 12 years for 330 millions instead of 360, it's a 🎁
  2. Mitch White is very bad pitcher now, he should never be in lineup again with the jays, unless we rebuild and want lose many games so can have better draft picks . In such case, he should play almost daily😄
  3. Lol We need much more than this. Soler or Martinez DH, Hader or Hicks for bullpen, and make a trade for an elite player like Trout or blockbuster trade with Cleveland for Bieber and Ramires. We have assets to convince Cleveland, or the Angels (Tidermann, Manoah, Orelvis, Schneider, Varsho). And if we trade Varsho will need sign Bellinger
  4. Yes, signing Soler, Turner and Taylor , short terms, instead of Bellinger, and Chapman and adding Hader, Hicks, can be smart moves. Jays will have really strong bullpen, so with Hicks, Mayza, Hader, Swanson, Green, Romano, if Jays are leading at 6 inning the chance win the game will be very high. A bit like Kansas City when they had strong defense players and elite bullpen. And if Bo and Vlad refuse sign long term, we can trade them next year. If want rebuild, we will have many pitching assets to trade for good prospects, and only Springer as bad contract.
  5. Brewers will ask Tidermann or Manoah or both with other assets for Yelich and retain % of his salary. Will be a huge mistake to trade Manoah or Tidermann for a guy like Yelich. Better rebuild now, anyway we can't beat the Dodgers or Brave without adding elite talents to the roster. Yankees will be better, Mariners, Texas, Orioles and Houston still be good, so need be smart and think about rebuild. Raptors are good example of what Jays shouldn't do, after loosing Kawi, they thought can win again, and they waited too long before trading Lowry, Siakam, VanVleet and Anunoby.
  6. Ofc Rogers won't allow Atdkins rebuild 😄 So he will sign Chapman and Bellinger for 6-8 years, and we will lose Bichette and Guerrero when they will test the market, or get crap return like Padres get for Soto, coz waiting to last minute to trade them, hoping convince them sign contracts extension.
  7. Before signing Chapman or Bellinger, first need to be 100% sure Bichette and Guerrero will agree for long term contracts. If they refuse, Chapman and Bellinger will be long term useless move. So better trade them both for top elite prospects and rebuild like Brave did. And keep Tiedermann, Manoah.
  8. Yes, but it's less. If no wrong instead of 70 m will be 46 m that will count on luxury tax.
  9. Btw, owners of Dodgers, do the same in Premier League with Chelsea, spending several hundred millions every year on mercato.
  10. If Yamamoto contract same as Betts, Freeman, Ohtani with pending money after end of contract to avoid luxury tax, MLB should say that cap hit can't be cheated, so if you sign 10/12 years contract, cap hit calculate on that number of years, no matter if you have 50 years pending payments remaining to retired players. They should make an exemple with the Dodgers, charging them big penalties fees on luxury tax, so other teams won't do same. Otherwise you will have teams with 400 millions cap hit, with lot of pending payments, to reduce their cap hit to half, when 98% of other teams can't compete against them. At end attendance in stadiums will significantly drop, and people won't be interested watch games on TV.
  11. So if start pay Ohtani 40-50 m annually after end of his contract, Dodgers will have this amount of money added to their cap hit. Same when Yankees will sign Soto and Yamamoto 😉
  12. I am more worried about teams that cheat on luxury tax. MLB should say that if you sign a 700m contract 10 years or 180m 6 years, this count as 70 and 30, no matter if have pending payments after end of contract, or remaining payments count even if players retired.
  13. Adkins should check if Manny Machado on trade market. If Padres agree to retain part of his salary, maybe something like Manoah, Orelvis and Biggio can convince them🤔
  14. With Vlad, Bichette, Soler, Bellinger, Springer as heart of our offense, guys like Chapman and Varsho, will be more here for their defense skills. And both can hit 20+ HR. But no more than 4 years for Chapman.
  15. LF-Springer SS-Bichette RF-Bellinger 1B-Vlad DH-Soler CC-Kirk 3B-Chapman CF-Varsho 2B-Espinal
  16. I will never do such, will be a really bad move. Even for Manoah I wouldn't. Good young SP with years of control are very hard to find and expensive, so if have to trade one, should only be for a star player, no for a easy to find infield player, no matter if he have years of control. If we can land Yamamoto, and we keep Manoah and Tidermann, we won't have to stress about replacing Gausmann, Berios and Bassit. The price to get good SP will be insanely too high. So better keep Chapman 4/100, sign Soler 3/54, Bellinger 6/180 and Yamamoto 10/220. I don't think Chapman and Bellinger will get respectively contracts of more than 4 years for Chapy and 6 for Bellinger from other teams.
  17. To sign Yamamoto or Lee, first we need offering the highest amount of cash to their Japanese/Korean teams. Then try reach agreement with the players. If can't convince the players , they can't sign elsewhere in mlb this year, and return to their teams in Japan or Korea.
  18. Or maybe it's time to rebuild and trade guys we know won't extend like Bichette, Guerrero for great prospects, and get good returns for our top veterans pitcher like Gausman, Berios. And ofc no sign overrated players like Chapman, Bellinger. Will be important too keep Tiedermann and Manoah, coz they are young and don't cost much.
  19. We shouldn't trade both, and if we trade one, should only be for a star player that will stay long term with the jays. So blockbuster trade package for someone like Luis Robert Jr or Mike Trout. But no for guys like Bregman or Isaac Paredes:lol So a trade like Manoah or Tidermann with prospects and Varsho for Trout or Robert Jr. Then sign Soler and Justin Turner , also try get Yamamoto.
  20. Yes, but if we don't convince Ohtani to sign here, Bellinger will be more useful.
  21. We should add Kirk to the package for Soto, and ask Ethan Salas to be added, so Adkins will fix Gabriel Moreno trade mistake.😉
  22. So better put 500-600 millions on Ohtani, than 450 on Soto. To sign Ohtani at 50-60 millions annually, is like signing an elite SP and a mvp DH for 25-30 millions each
  23. I really doubt Soto have 25 years, he probably lied about his age like many Dominican players do, so won't be surprised he have 28-29 in fact 😉
  24. Ohtani can't pitch this year, and after 2 Tommy Jones surgery, no sure he will be SP for long. I think soon or later , he will end up DH only.
