  1. Holy mother of god. Tapia 5th? Has Charlie lost his damn mind?
  2. You don't make lineup decisions on 6 game samples but since you seem to want to Bo has been worse than Chapman so do you think he should hit below Chapman?
  3. Either Gurriel, Chapman or Kirk. Those are your next 3 best hitters, they hit 4 through 6 in whatever order you see fit, that's how you construct a lineup. Your issue was who's "protecting" Vladdy. Moving Vladdy up which gets him more at bats also solves that issue if it even exists, and it was something they were already looking at doing during spring training anyway. Giving a worst hitter more at bats(Espinal) and a better hitter less(Springer) does more damage than it solves especially considering there are other ways to solve the minor issue you're trying to solve.
  4. 1. Springer 2. Vladdy 3. Bo Problem solved?
  5. Jays 4th rounder Chad Dallas making his pro debut for Vancouver tonight has 7 K's in 4 hitless innings
  6. Might be the worst call of a play I've ever seen
  7. No. Never give in. Montoyo could have double switched to get Biggio in the 6 hole and the catcher in the 8 hole(Biggio plays LF, Tapia is out). Instead he didn't double switch, left 2 useless bats in there, bunted first one in the 6 hole with 1 out which allowed New York to opportunity to walk Chapman to face the useless Tapia and somehow New York out-Montoyo'd Montoyo
  8. Adrian Hernandez, Brandon Eisert, and Hayden Juenger eventually
  9. Can that be served concurrently with his sentence for stealing Espinal from Boston or no? Pearce won World Series MVP for Boston so I'm sure they aren't crying but man what a return
  10. Vasquez would have made more sense to me given he's already on the 40 man and both Saucedo and Thornton have options if you want to send either down without DFAing them. But Vasquez pitched yesterday and Anderson can probably give you some length I guess.
  11. and most of my whining has been for nothing If Jansen isn't an option for tonight, and Collins still DH's then the argument they need Collins on the roster to DH Kirk goes out the window though
  12. Legitimately there should be a 10 man rotation, which Biggio playing some corner OF, and 1B, and Espinal playing some SS/3B when guys need half days off to DH. Then Tapia, Zimmer, or Collins should be starting like 1 game per week combined, mostly Zimmer when Springer needs to DH. I can forgive them for putting Tapia in there once, and Collins in there just to get them action early but this shouldn't be a recurring thing where Tapia/Zimmer starts half the games and Collins 1 quarter. They're bench players for a reason. We have a clearly significantly better top 10 players. 1 extra to rotate is good. Putting another clearly inferior player in there is now sitting 2 much better players. Guys don't need that kind of time off.
  13. I figured they might want to get Collins into a game early, and might have done so by giving Vladdy a DH day and starting Collins at first. But after 2 days of Tapia, and Jansen now only getting 2 of the first 4 games after hitting 2 HR and being the best hitter is starting to get to me.Only 158 game of this s*** left I guess. 1 day of Tapia, 1 day of Collins I could get behind just to get them action early. But both Kirk and Jansen need to be playing 3 out of every 4 days. Tapia/Zimmer/Collins when they get in there also need to be hitting 9th
  14. He puts up 7 in 3 hitless innings and his night is over. Short outing. He was thought to be a reliever. Since he started I assume they're stretching him out but he's not there yet?
  15. Jays prospects in a K mood today. 2021 6th rounder Hayden Juenger with 5 K's through 2 for New Hampshire in his first professional start
  16. I feel like last years should count as well winning streak could be 6 this guy is annoying
  17. He's safe, very obvious even in real time
  18. Real life Joey Murray sighting. Coming out of the pen in New Hampshire.
  19. Collins has an option year left. Chicago used it to option him before he was traded so we have the rest of this year to option him. So it makes sense he said minors after we acquired him he was in the minors at first. Zimmer should say Non-roster or something.
  20. Collins was actually optioned by Chicago though so the second we acquired him he was in the minors for us until we recalled him.
  21. You'd think they'd have a separate indication for that though rather than minors. Something like Non-active, non-roster, or reserve list or something IDK. Saying Minors is flat out misleading
  22. I thought the assumption was the Collins was going down right now?
  23. There's a 13 pitcher maximum when rosters go back to 26 which means a 4 man bench. We currently have a 4 man bench already. We have to send down 2 pitchers. Shouldn't impact the bench unless another option not on the roster becomes more useful.
