    This is exactly why this front office wants Barger to hit 2nd. One lefty can neutralize Barger and Varsho in the same apperance.

    Agreed but we all see the team being up by 2 runs and Hoffman doing Hoffman things in the playoffs. With the way this front office likes its playoff embarrassments, its probably whats going to happen lol.

    Not saying in the longterm but just for this season. Our closer is too crappy to not worry about going into the postseason while we already have good starting pitchers.

    Varsho stopped running and it cost him 1st base there... Although with his hammy, im ok with him being selective on his sprints.

    Good thing is that its harder for him to get any slower on the bases lol. Hopefully he'll be back to be able to do that.

    Ya the Jays have tried really hard to fit a lefty into the 2nd spot but aside from Lukes, no one's done well there. Barger has looked better in the 4/5 spot while Varsho has looked better in the 5/6 spot. I think they'll just go with their best hitters at the very top if no one runs away until the end of the year.

    Getting ready to see the following lineup potentially. Team upgrades their SS defense while downgrading their corner OF defense. LF Springer DH Bo 1B Vladdy 3B Barger C Kirk CF Varsho RF Santandar 2B Clement SS Gimenez

    Now it also makes sense why the team hasn't been pinch hitting for Gimenez lately. Theyre going to have to rely on him in the playoffs regardless so he's getting reps against lefties. The decision to let Bo play after the injury will get railed on if he misses any playoff games.

    Not a fan of him starting right away tbh. He has needed 1 or 2 outings to get adjusted to every level hes been at for the most part. For that reason, I would have given him some low leverage outings first and working his way up from there.

    Santandar has 7 more games in Buffalo to work off the rust with a HR and a double yesterday under his belt. Assuming he can remain healthy during this time, I would 100% expect him to be called up Sept 21 latest.

    Im still getting giddy thinking about adding Bo/Santandar to this lineup next week. It is going to be STACKED!!
