    I'm pumped to see Semien too but it's still 2nd after Springer. I made a bunch of posts hoping he'd try 3B but his skillset should translate into being an elite 2B. Why make Bo move off SS for a guy who's here only for a year? I'm sure Semien will get some reps at SS this year and if it's painfully obvious who is better there, we might even make the switch later this season. Bo hasn't even had a full season at SS so we'll find out this year about a lot of our guys and where they truly belong on the field.

    That coupled with the trade deadline made 2015 the most exciting Jays season for me. I don't think we'll ever have a better hitting trio than Donaldson/Jose/Edwin. Tulo should have been part of that group but we know how that went. Great times nonetheless lol.

    He started off the season poorly but played pretty well afterwards. Don't mind him back tbh.

    Davis also showed he could catch the ball, which is kind of important for an OFer lol. He also has use as a pinch runner so if both players were out of options, Davis still has a chance beating Fisher out.

    If Fisher's bat was good enough, he'd get looks at DH or another position on the field. I'm just saying he sucks currently but will never say that he can't improve. Edwin was a disaster at 3B and was out of baseball like 3 times, we all know how that story ended.

    The MLB only has so many spots and not everyone can make it. Obviously he's talented to get to the point he did but there are thousands of talented players waiting for their chance. I agree that some players don't have the mental makeup to make it but some also don't have the physical tools either, which is different in the bigs vs AAA. You need a combination of both and if he's good enough, he'll find his way back.

    Glad we agree that Fisher sucked for us. Hopefully he figures it out but doesn't make sense for him to occupy a big league spot to take balls off his head.

    Doing something in the minors is different than the big league level. Did you see Vladdy try to catch pop ups last year? Or how about Collabello when we tried him in the OF in 2015? Unless a player has a proven track record in the bigs of doing something, I attribute the failure to a lack of skill. You can't say anyone who fails to automatically have mental issues unless you have something to back it up. Now instances like Knoblauch or Altuve in the playoffs last year, I could believe there were some issues. Those guys proved they could throw the ball from 2nd at the bigs over an extended time.

    Very curious about the contract details here. Sucks that Giles got hurt because he was a beast for us.

    If the mental block is related to his ongoing sucking then i have 0 pity for him but if it's related to something serious then I'll take it back for sure. This is the first I've heard anyone mention a potential serious mental issue so my bad if that's the case.

    After hearing the Raptors news about having to finish the entire season in Tampa, I have very little faith the Jays will be home until the allstar break at the earliest.

    Hard for me to care for a guy who can't make catches that I would make. He should try his luck in the infield to avoid fly balls lol.

    Our lineup is so stacked that I thought he would be great to bat before Springer and Bo. Players 3 through 7 could be swapped depending on how they look in spring training because we dont know how good Tellez/Vlad/Teo will be. Biggio and Tellez are our only lefties so its only right we split them up. We'll find out soon enough. Springer Bo Semien Vlad Teo Gurriel Tellez Jansen Biggio

    Lindor and Carrasco package was light but one of your best prospect now gets you 1 year of Bryant?

    I was speaking more to your last paragraph where I'd want him to start bunting against all teams that play 4 OFers or a super shift on him. I consider bunting when you have a whole left side open to be very doable as a lefty. Lets not pretend like Biggio is .300 hitter at the moment so I thought this was an easy/doable suggestion to make defense play straight up and then he can pull the ball with more success. I currently think he'll bat 9th and be relied upon in a different role this season. Just my 2 cents.
