  1. Giving up your best prospect(s) for 1 year of Soto without an extension is how you get your ass fired and hated in this town for life.
  2. This statement hss been sponsored by the Rays lol
  3. Guys talking about Disengagements when we're about to get Ohtaniiiii lol
  4. French Soup needs to consolidate his posts. Man's taking over every thread lol
  5. But one injury and you're totally f***ed. Baseball of all sports has never been a sport where 1 guy can carry you all the way. Heck, him and Trout couldn't even make the Angels relevant together all those years. What we know is that if you win and mash some Homers, the eyes will automatically follow you.
  6. Quite the leap here lol. Although I do wish there is someone in the locker room that is bullying the fat asses to get into shape on our team.
  7. Man... 500M to 600M is such unreal money for a single player. We're at a point where it might a better investment to use those funds on several other players. Ohtani alone might make more than the Rays entire roster loll. Wish our 9 to 5 jobs could have the inflation that all pro sports players are getting lol.
  8. Not even close... Votto drinks Molson and loves Maple syrup. Get that man on the team lol
  9. And Bo's "coincidentally" on the trade block. Reminds me of all the guys who got shipped out from the 2016 team because they didn't like Shatkins. Fragile ego for sure. Probably getting flashbacks to when he used to get wedgied as a kid loll.
  10. I wonder who people here would prefer if the choice was Soto or Ohtani on their expected long term deals. I think you gotta go for Ohtani because you don't have to give up any prospects even if you have to spend a lot more financially for Ohtani. Although the other side is that you can go obtain another free agent with the money you save from Soto's deal.
  11. Atkins is a genius by those standards. Just as long as we can admit he's a douche compared to AA lol.
  12. Depending on how our season goes, we might be begging him to comeback for the 3rd time by that time loll.
  13. AA provided this franchise the best baseball it's seen since '93 and u wrote all that to support Shatkins? Lol The Jays had the best and most entertaining roster in baseball in 2015 and were very close to winning it all. Wake me up when these guys come close to doing the same. Watching this team last year was absolutely brutal. This is a results based industry and AA has clearly gone onto achieving MUCH MORE success than the guys that replaced him here. Its not even a debate for anyone but the Shatkins nuthuggers. Now that doesn't mean it has to stay this way but we may have already missed our best chance to succeed with Bo and Vladdys extensions not even factoring in yet.
  14. It wasn't only that comment alone... it was that comment after people knew he blasted AA for "emptying" the system for the best success the Jays have had since '93. Shatkins have "emptied" the system and we haven't won a single playoff game in an expanded playoff era but hey... those renovations though lol.
  15. Don't worry, Kikuchi's got us here lol
  16. If we trade our best offensive player when our offense is the clear weakness then hell ya, the sky is falling. Based on the track record of Shatkins, my overreaction has been more on point than you're "everything the Bluejays do is great" approach lol.
  17. Moreno and Gurriel say hi lol
  18. So we're going to improve our offense by trading our best offensive player by far. f*** man... this better not be it.
  19. I edited my post man. It was more to speak of how valuable Cimber was vs comparing him to Romano. That's all.
  20. Ahhh makes sense. And relievers become good and bad all the time. 2023 could have just been one really bad year for him. I can easily see him become serviceable again in 2024 but obviously have nothing to go on with that comment lol.
  21. You might want to refresh your memory and go check his numbers from 2021 and 2022. Then go look at who else was in our bullpen for those seasons. He literally just had one really bad year, which was this past season.
  22. Damn... guy took the words "like our best reliever" as literally our best reliever. Obviously he wasn't doing better than the guy who was closing games for us but was hoping you'd understand the post to get the point lol.
  23. Report: Blue Jays making push to reunite with Chapman https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2768000 This might be our big splash lol. Seriously though, I def want him back but really hope it's not a crippling contract. He hasn't earned it.
  24. Damn... Cimber was one of our best relievers when he got traded here lol. It speaks to how pathetic that bullpen was at the time. Still think he's a good low leverage guy to have in the pen so sucks to lose him for nothing.
  25. White Sox trade Bummer to Braves for Soroka, 4 others https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2767733
