Well said... their 2021/2022 teams were trending in the right direction but then pivoted towards their stupid "run prevention" strategy to the point of completely neglecting offense. Now we're stuck with some of the last entertaining baseball I've been watching from a Jays team that's supposed to be "contending" at the moment.

You can't coach crap tbh. How many of the Jays hitters are actually even that good. It's just a sad collection of offensive talent, which is something the entire baseball knew going into last offseason but Shatkins.

Except this regime has gotten 9 friggin years to show their worth. Can't think of a longer runway for any management team with 0 playoff success in Jays history. If it wasn't for the expanded playoffs, Shatkins regime would have been kicked out long ago imo.

But the product on the field is the most important part of his job and the main thing people give a crap about. This guy has been talking about construction projects for like 7 years. The fact he didn't feel it was necessary to can Atkins after last year also made his seat a lot hotter. Now I can live with him staying if Atkins and Schneider are canned immediately but he shouldnt have much leeway. This team is trending in all the wrong directions and we haven't even achieved any real success with him yet. They've been here for 9+ years now ffs.
