    I would not be happy with Turner over JDM/Soler. The old bastard is still hitting better than I thought he would at his age but I'm expecting him to fall off a cliff very shortly. The only way this would make sense is if they nab Bellinger too and had to go cheaper in the DH route. Belli and Turner also played together for a while with the Dodgers. Probably just copium on my end here lol.

    Ya who the f*** cares for Joc. They probably did what they do for most free agents by slightly underbidding and letting the player accept or have another team come over the top. Now if we come up empty on JDM and Soler then I'll start crying lol.

    Ya, report makes it seem like Joc went for 500M over 10 Years. It wasn't really that hard to beat the contract he went for if they really wanted him lol.

    If this team signs JD or Votto, Frenchsoup needs to be unbanned and promoted to Mod immediately lol

    People aren't sure Schneider can play 2B at the major league level, 3B should be out of the question unless it's for emergency purposes. Also not sure how much you can expect Turner to play there at his age either. He'd be a DH who can play very little at 3B/1B imo.

    I'm already known for not being the biggest fan of future projections. There is no way I'd consider Horowitz close to JDM at the major league level. If we were still rebuilding, I'd totally be with you but we are in a "win now" window before Bo and Vlad extensions have to be factored in. Let Horowitz work his way into a full time role by starting as a backup/pinch hitter/injury insurance for the upcoming season.

    Both Chappy and Bellinger have picks tied to them correct? While it's not the main factor preventing teams from going after them, it's another layer that makes teams hesitant.

    Bellinger can also play 1B on the days Vlad DH's and is a left handed bat that could bat 3rd in between Bo and Vlad. Adding him kinda kills us going after a DH and also means IFK is going to get scheduled for 600 ABs at 3B since we couldnt afford Chappy too. Soler/J.D. and Chappy would be my preference still.

    Fine... Grichuk doesn't really count as a "signing" anyways. I'll settle for one of Soler/J.D. and one of Chappy/Bellinger

    Ya, people think we're getting Grichuk on a 5/52M deal to be a everyday starter. Him on a cheap 1 year deal to be our 4th OFer when we have 2 below average hitting lefties starting currently seems like a no brainer. Sign Soler/Chappy/Grichuk. Trade Espinal/Yimi for prospects to free up money to allow for those signings.

    We got rid of him because of how much he makes. His defense as a corner OF with the Jays was good so not sure if thats fallen off. And half season Grichuk at a very low price is perfectly fine. You can't expect more from a bench player anyways. His numbers against lefties are great and would provide more value at the plate than Varsho against lefties.

    Grichuk seems like the perfect platoon partner for Varsho based on what we can do realistically rest of the offseason.

    Fans are getting inpatient with the offseason after ending the season in a super embarrassing fashion? Just a guess lol. Until the free agents are mostly off the board, think we all need to wait to decide what type of offseason this was.

    He mentioned yesterday that's Soler to the Jays is very real so its just natural to make rhe connection here. But until it's official, none this matters much to me.

    If anyone would benefit from one cycle of roids, it would be Chappy. He'd legit become a hall of famer if he found a way to avoid detection lol.

    We could also DH Vlad more and play Bellinger at 1B too. It's still my #1 hopeful outcome but don't see it happening.

    Maybe what the hold up is that a team like the Jays prefer to sign Bellinger and if they do, they don't have the money to spend on a DH?

    Ya it would be crazy if we don't get either JDM or Soler at this stage. Still gonna wish for one of Bellinger/Chapman.

    Hes going into a contract year that will decide whether he gets 400/500/600 million. If he remains healthy, I'd expect him to have a monster year for the increased motivation. Judge/Soto will be the best hitting 1-2 punch in baseball next year.

    We are def adding a DH unless we luck our way into a cheaper than expected Bellinger deal. My guess is still Chapman on a cheaper than expected deal and one DH (Soler or J.D.), which would make it a decent offseason.

    Business is a reflection of society on this. They're scared for the blowback from Bauer but have no issue with Chapman, German and countless of other idiots.

    What a time we live in where Bauer is off-limits while German has 6 friggin suitors after him. God I hate where our society is going lol
