    Not sure how many times I gotta say it... im a big Straw fan but stop using him as a pinch hitter like hes an elite hitter against lefties. We've been using him as a hitter over ever one of our lefties but Varsho.

    Witt is on a level of his own... you cant compare him to anyone. After seeing Bo butcher the position for years, Gimenez at SS defensively is one of the few positives for the season.

    Obviously agree with the bat but how can you not be impressed with the glove? Hes near the top in baseball in most defensive metrics in his first full season at SS.

    Haha its not that im counting on him but hes still under contract. Its why I mentioned needing 2 big bats still because your team needs to have enough depth to overcome injuries to a Santandar + others.

    This team will need to make Lukes a 4th OFer/platoon at CF and make one of Gimenez/Clement a backup SS/2B. Santandar will replace Springer at DH. Not sure if this front office can get 2 big bats in the offseason as the list of free agents isnt great + our crappy farm system but thats what will be required. No team will ever have clean health.

    Guys who have performed as one of the league best all year typically get passes. The piss poor offense however... shun them all!!

    I agree mostly and would add that not having the "sustainable pipeline" that they shoved down our throats has been non-existent. We just havent gotten enough from the farm system to help our major league team. The only reason we've made it this far is because we've become a top 5 payroll team consistently to plug in many holes. Also, injuries were a valid excuse at the very start, not so much anymore. Look around baseball, many teams are suffering the same, if not worse, injury luck than us right now and they're still staying afloat.
