    Ya I made the exact same comment. It's why the Jays needed to make 1 more big move to add a bat but I would even take if we took a flier on J.D. at this stage. The lineup just isn't serious enough to be an actual contender. We're going to waste half a year and then make a move at the deadline to add a bat. Rinse and repeat lol.

    Don't like the idea of pressuring some of our AAA guys to be impactful big league guys so fast but that's the position we're in. Ideally, Rodon/Martinez would get a full year at AAA to show deserve a spot. Still wanted one last move to get a big bat but that ship seems to have sailed. It's hard for me to trust Springer being in the top 4.

    Rodon/Barger/Clement homering today while Straw keeps hitting. Rodriguez/Francis/Bloss struggling. Really dont like Springer batting cleanup but enjoying some of the young kids performing well. We'll definitely need at least 2 from the group to be impactful players this season.

    Vladdy has been under control and has publicly stated he wants to stay with Toronto his whole career from the start. Jays could have easily had these talks at any point during his tenure and it was Vlad who actually created this self imposed deadline to even initiate these talks. It is literally the job of the Jays management to manage their assets. As soon as you find out an asset is being unreasonable, you as an organization need to do what's best for you. This will 100% come down on Shatkins either in a good or horrible way and rightfully so.

    No one's giving Shatkins anything, you trade his ass as soon as he asks for anything that ridiculous. It's like he thinks his whole career is a repeat of 2021.

    Ya thats why I said orignally I'd be more shocked if they were actually fired. Nothing about what they've done has shown they're fighting for their jobs.

    Shapiro tied himself to Atkins as soon as he didn't fire him the past 2 years. I'm honestly surprised they didn't mortgage whatever we do have in the farm to help win this season since it truly feels like an "all-in" year with so many years question marks after the year. Maybe it's still coming or maybe he's scared to do it after scolding AA for it when he took over lol.

    What was it for? Edit - Saw it was some fertility drug but joke still remains... hope he kept some of that extra testosterone in the system lol.

    Wagner - Bo - Vlad - Santandar seems like the top 4 but Wagner will definitely have to earn it in Spring Training for them to feel comfortable moving Springer out of the top 4. Also hoping Martinez has kept the lasting impacts of the roids to have a great year lol. This team needs another power bat in the middle of the order.

    Many thought Atkins would get fired after the Berrios fiasco when the organization looked like a joke. Then many thought both Atkins and Shapiro would get fired when we finished 5th worst or whatever it was in the MLB. At this point, I'll be more shocked if they ever get fired lol.

    If Rodon and Martinez can become good hitters this year then our lineup is set. That's putting a lot of pressure on them so let's see how things play out, looking great so far. Need 2 of Martinez/Rodon/Wager/Barger/Clement/Schneider to step up.

    Sucks that our 2 best hitters potentially don't have a real position to play (Martinez/Wager). But the bright side is our team doesn't have a full time DH.

    People are gonna crap on me but I'm telling you having Gimenez at SS and Bo at 2B would be a no brainer for me. Hopefully we'll see the Jays give it a shot for a few innings in the Spring to see how it looks.
