The question wasn’t whether we would get one. The question was how long would he have to keep doing this for before we got a prospect.
Let’s try to keep up buddy.
I liked that discussion.. I would be all for regionalizing the game. Baseball is a one team sport and lends itself to local rivalries really well. It’s impossible to follow the entire league in any detail unlike say the nba.
Is part of that rope got to do with the ‘obviousness’ of your weakness? Or basically how easy it is to dream on you?
With Brito, even with his speed, I imagine that watching him just not recognize breaking ball after breaking ball makes it easier to cut bait.
Is this normal for a guy to mash in triple a and struggle in the majors to the degree Brito did? It’s kind of nuts. I’d expect someone to do well in triple a and then be below average in the bigs but this is crazy.
I thought his approach at the plate was starting to look a lot better like a month ago but results are not coming.
The silver lining is that he looks like he play his position at an above average level.
This is a good deal for the pelicans but the lakers still win because they get Davis. At the end of the day a superstar that is guaranteed to sign for the next 5 years or so is the premium asset in the nba.
I don’t know if they had a choice but I would have chosen lonzo over Kuzma. Ball to me seems like the ideal 4th guy on a title team. Plays great team defence, is a great passer and loves to make the extra pass.. and I feel like he will be able to knock down open threes going forward. Kuzma fills it up but seems kind of erratic at best defensively.
I also think they shouldn’t blow their load on Kemba with their space. If butler or Leonard(!) want to opt in that would be cool but otherwise using that money to fill it out might be wise.
At the end of the day though, Davis is a superstar in his prime and this is the kind of gamble you have to make.
I guess we’ll find out after a few more starts.
In other news, Conine is 3 for 3 tonight and a triple away from a grand slam.
Edit: also, Paulinho went four innings, 6 ks, BB, 2 H. Only 68 pitches so he must be on a limit.
