  1. What's the matter truth hurts stats don't lie like i said it easy to see that right now Panik is on base more often that Rowdy given the opportunity no matter what you think the numbers proves it.
  2. Tellez 49 PA 8 hits .163 avg 421ops Panik 28 PA 8 hits .308 avg 692 ops STATS DON'T LIE PANIK GET ON BASE MORE OFTEN THAN TELLEZ RIGHT NOW SO HE SHOULD BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY AT BAT TO TRY AND KEEP THE RALLIES GOING.
  3. That's the trouble everyone is counting on passed stats they're playing now not last year the spot should be awarded to guys who can make the difference in a game not to a what he might do player he's Pedro Alvarez II will be gone and soon forgotten stats don't lie and right now Tellez is one of the worst producing player on the team
  4. Right now anybody can do what Rowdy is doing at the plate which is NOTHING Palacios, Espinal and Panik have proven to be better at the plate than Tellez so far this season.
  5. I don't know what this guy is still doing on this team right now. he was inserted in the line up yesterday because of his good numbers against the Red Sox he doesn't have good numbers against anybody this year he's a rally killer in any line up right now. Hopefully when Springer is activated hr's gone cause he just dead weight on a bench right now.The offense is struggling and he's contributing to the problem.
  6. Don't know who's the crackpots running this circus but they had 2 of today's best position players at their disposal Urshela ranked the 9th best 3rd baseman in baseball today and Biggigo the 8th best second baseman in baseball today. They gave away a good 3rd baseman and have a top ranked 2nd baseman playing 3rd base and they wondering why they are next to the bottom of the division keep going the way they are they'll win nothing in the near future.
  7. What a wasted roster spot. He deserve to be gone once Springer is activated.
  8. Most AL teams today rather leave their DH spot open for use on rotational bases in case of player needing some time from the fielding the only way a team should commit to a full time DH if its 'David Ortiz or Nelson Cruz type hitters everytime they come up at the plate you can anticipate something is going to happen. Tellez doesn't have the same type of impact in any line up if he finishes the year as dismal as it began I can see the Blue jays non tendering him in the off season.
  9. This guy reminds me of Pedro Alvarez big left handed power hitter who led the Pirates in HR in 2015 only to be non tendered pick up by the oiroles in 2016 struggled for few years with lot Ks with limited playing time he was dfaed in 2018. Rowdy seem to heading down the same path this game has no place for one denensional bench players some time a team need a pinch runner a defensive player or hitter for avg non that fits Tellez credentials.
  10. I can tell you right now that Charlie knows first hand Randall is responsible for 2 games in his win column Joe Panik wasn't replacing Biggigo and playing 3rd base he was replacing Tellez and DHing that shows how much confidence Charlie has in Rowdy at the plate right now. I can guarantee you Grighuck bat will be the line up before Tellez expecially if he wants to win games Randal is leading the team in 6 offensive categories as of today. Tellez is getting his opportunities Folty wasn't your superstar pitcher yesterday Tellez was 0-3 except he wasting them.
  11. Nobody in their right mind will leave a 400 + hitter out of their lineup for nomatter what expecially for Tellez who hadn't even have a hit this year let alone a sub par 200 spring training
  12. Randal is making Charlie's life difficult to no have him in his line up right now the guy is hitting .429 avg and have won 2 games for the jays at yankee stadium on his timely hitting it inpossible not to pencil him in your lineup if you want to win the games.
  13. Randall will be the line up before Tellez who had a real poor spring training and seem lost at the plate right now.
  14. Pitching is at premium in this game there's a good reason Porcello is still an unrestricted free agent this late to simply put it he's not that f***ing good to start with especially on a high milage arm like his that's why teams are staying away from him.
  15. Here's a story posted by the Phillies: Cormier was a big leaguer, but he never acted like one. He was unassuming off the field. He once told a story about going to one of his children’s Little League practices. He noticed his daughter stepping on first base with the wrong foot. He politely instructed her how to catch the ball properly. A coach looked at Cormier funny, perhaps thinking he was just another dad getting involved. Afterward, a few parents took batting practice. A few fathers hit a few balls hard. Then Cormier stepped into the box. Cormier hit .188 in 228 plate appearances in the big leagues, which is tied for the 49th highest batting average in baseball history among pitchers with 225 or more plate appearances. Cormier started launching baseballs like Babe Ruth. “Did you play before?” a parent asked Cormier. “Yeah, I play in the big leagues,” Cormier said. During his time in Philadelphia, Cormier made contributions to Phillies Charities and visited patients in area hospitals. While with the Expos, he worked with several school programs in New Brunswick. He was a spokesman for teenage anti-suicide and anti-drug campaigns. If you ever met Rheal he was the nicest most down to earth guy you'd ever meet despite his fame, he never lost his small village friendly charm.
  16. New Brunswick native Rheal Cormier dies at 53 after a battle with cancer. Cormier spend 16 years in the MLB with 5 teams Cardinals, Red Sox, Expos, Philles and the Reds. Born in St- Andre-LeBlanc small village near Shediac he played his minor and senior baseball in Moncton he was drafted in 6th round by the St-Louis Cardinals. Rheal best year was in 2003 with Philadelphia he was 8-0 as a reliever with a 1.70 ERA according to the Phillies that was the 2nd lowest among relievers and the 6th lowest by any club reliever in the modern era since 1900. Cormier made 84 appearances the most by a lefty Philadelphia pitcher. During his Philly tenure he appeared in 363 games as a reliever, it's the second most in club history behind Tim McGraw. Cormier represented Canada on the world stage at the 1987 Pan-American games, 1988 and 2006 Olympics and the World Baseball Classic. Rheal Cormier was inducted in the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2012. Canada lost a great baseball ambassador RIP my friend.
  17. Classic spring training Bench Player line -up for evaluation.
  18. Tellez will be sharing more his playing time than with just Grich Montoyo suggest he plans to use Gurriel at 3rd and 1st base this season.
  19. If you look at fielding percentage plus Teoscar hadn't played that much RF because that his weakest position 2018 he played 33 games in RF with a .947 fielding % in 2019 played LF and CF only none in RF in 2020 played 38 game in RF with .958 fielding %. Grichuck in 2018 played 79 games in RF with .995 fielding percentage in 2019 he played 83 games in RF .994 fielding % only played CF in 2020. Bottom line is Teoscar makes stupid errors in the field that's what can cost you games you can't have a liability in games I wouldn't trust him in do or die situation because one of his dumb errors could cost you the season.
  20. The problem is the team is much weaker defensively with Hernandez in RF than Grich and the team is stronger offensively with Teoscar at the plate than Tellez. It's obvious that the chance of winning are greater with Randall in RF and Hernandez at DH. I see the regular line up being just that.
  21. Aaron Sanchez former Blue Jays RHP agreed to term with the San Fransico Giants. Sanchez agreed to 4 mil one year deal that includes up to 2.5 mil in incentives. The 28 year old Sanchez missed the 2020 season recovering from right shoulder surgery. The Giants became highly interested when during workouts which Sanchez was touching 98 mph there's reportedly other clubs that had shown some interest after watching him. I'm hoping for the best of luck in resuming his career.
  22. Randall Grichuk will be the regular RF to complement Springer who isn't a GG caliber centerfielder this make the Blue Jays much stronger defensively. Hernandez will be the 4th outfielder and probably spend majority of his time in the DH position. Grichuk has plate appearance incentives built in his contract for his last 3 years. Plus teams don't let their investments sit on a bench especially $30.9 mil ones if ever an opportunity present itself for a possible trade they'd like to have max value in return .
  23. Big Deal he just inherited starting in the RF spot with likely Hernanadez goes to the DH spot.
  24. Vlad Jr can hit he proved it already yes he had a rough start because of the pressures put on him people have to realize that this kid was only 19 most players are still in single A or AA. He's becoming more into himself and with the extra work done in the off season accompanied with his weigh loss should help him tremendously. Plus many baseball experts projected his numbers should be around for 2021 .285-.300 avg 30-35 HRS 95-100 RBI's I know these are just projections but give the kid a chance I 'm sure it doesn't workout they will move him. You can't forget they made him the franchise player they won't give up on him or make him look bad not at this early stage of career anyway.
  25. This is good signing for the Blue Jays even though it's bit of a gamble Semien was 3rd in MVP voting in 2019 but 2020 wasn't great for him as he was plagued with a side injury. If he can return to in 2019 form where he hit 33 hr and especially playing in a park like Oakland his numbers should be more spectacular playing in Rogers Centre. I like this deal because of versatility it gives to the Blue Jays Semien can play 2nd, SS and 3rd base he's likely to play 2nd base plus back up for Bo with Biggio playing 3rd, Bichette SS and Vladdy 1st. Biggio is the multi-role player who play infield and outfield when the need arise. The Blue Jays had one of worst fielding outfield in MLB the weak link was Teoscar Hernandez with Springer in CF Grichuk RF and Gurriel in LF. the Line up should be Biggio 3rd Bichette SS Springer CF Vlad Jr 1st Hernandez DH Gurriel LF Grichuk RF Semien 2nd Jansen C Imagine if the Jays would've kept Urshula which the MLB network ranked the 9th best 3rd baseman in the game today. Anyways it appears Shapiro and Atkins are going in the right direction with this team.
