  1. Did you know that according to tradition, Koi near you will attract good luck, fortune, and spiritual benefits? You're lucky to be around us, my friend!
  2. I already like what I saw in Alford tonight.
  3. I actually thought about that, but it seems too logical for this regime.
  4. Wait one second! I thought you "passed away" tragically a while back? I don't know how you guys don't understand the mini outrage over not giving him ABs. Alford was one of the most athletic players drafted his year. They were so high on him that they paid him to play football in the hopes he'd return. He missed time due to that, and yet still produced enough to make his way into top 50 lists as recent as 2 years ago. Most discussions involving him said he just needs to make adjustments and he can be something. The year that he made an adjustment and produced very well since the beginning of May, and we don't at least see what he is at the major league level? And we give extended looks to Hansen, Brito, McKinney, Fisher, Drury, etc., whilst this is the last chance to audition Alford? That's egregious to me. What if he can provide enough defensive WAR to overcome any *potential* offensive WAR from the other guys. The crazy thing is I don't think he'll amount to much, but I think he can provide more value than the vagines that I mentioned above. You guys are talking like we have an outfield full of Betts and Trouts. Taking these ABs away from the other guys will not affect the Jays in any way, shape, or form in the future. And has a *chance* of paying dividends, albeit very unlikely...but it's worth a shot.
  5. This Boxcar guy and Laika dude don't know no s***! If you think McKinney, Fisher, Drury, or Hernandez deserve ABs over Alford, you have no idea how asset management works. He's the odd man out right now. The rest are still going to get opportunities next year. It's a fact. Shitkins are high on them because they/them acquired said players. If you have a very solid defensive player with below average offensive tools, you can still have a valuable player (ie. Dyson). That would be a much more valuable 4th outfielder than f***ing McKinney or Fisher (I stopped playing at 13 and could still make catches he's not making). Laika implies how a swing change is meaningless in being hopeful of a turn around. Bautista, Donaldson, and Martinez says hi. Plus, look how many people broke out and had career years this year. So let's break this down: best case scenario, he has great defense and was able to make enough of an adjustment to be a slightly below average offensive player, making him valuable. Worst case scenario, he proves he's s*** in a year that's meaningless, and he's cut next year. OR, in between the two scenarios, like I said, he has a very strong month (even s*** players have them) and gets the attention of some team who's willing to do a Gose/Travis type trade and hope for a player that can turn into something. What's to lose? It's all about the asset management, in this case.
  6. The fact that they're not playing Alford is really blowing my balls! McKinney and Fisher are giant turds, and they'll still get opportunities next year. We all know what Teoscar is. Drury is still getting ABs. At least it would be fun to watch someone who could play great D. Even if they don't think Alford is anything, audition him for a month and maybe spring training. Hope that he goes on a run and then they could possibly make a Gose/Travis type trade. Maybe for another former top prospect and hope for a turn around. There's no downside to giving him an audition. I'm starting to think Todd is a Shitkin's burner account. It all reeks of small dick syndrome on their part. It seems like they're only validated if players they're direct responsible succeed...and will run them into the ground trying.
  7. Todd, Alford is batting .500, OPSing at 1.167, and has a wRC+ of 241 in tonight's game.
  8. Kay having a much better start than Stroman tonight.
  9. Harold Ramirez has higher fWAR than Grichuk in far fewer ABs.
  10. Are we in a battle to see who will post the dumbest, drunkest post tonight?
  11. Much respect, Todd! You take down your haters!
  12. The question posed was has any player struck out as much as Conine in the minors and made a successful transition to the majors. No mention of age per level. Gallo consistently K'd at 35+ all the way through the minors and majors...and many people said he would never survive in the MLB. I predict a Gallo type career for Conine. And I have never been wrong on any prediction....except when I said that Merriweather would have a better career than Flaherty.
  13. Joey Gallo would like a word!
  14. Hope the Jays hire you, because you know your f***ing s***!
  15. The Dogg is far more witty.
  16. You have a very diverse palate, my friend.
  17. If you were to slow down the footage, it starts out close to shoulder height and drops down just above his knees at 87 mph. If it started out closer to dick height and dropped to his feet, it would probably look a lot more impressive to you.
  18. Yup. I would do whatever it takes to be the popular kid.
  19. Hernandez has a 135 wRC+ since June 16. Me likey.
  20. I was on a serious bender yesterday and made quite a few dumb posts.
  21. He's a first ballot HOFer, so you can f*** off with your hate!
  22. Yeah, I'm very needy today.
  23. Mine does....and then some!
