  1. Corbin is such a dildo.
  2. I'm not necessarily betting against Wainwright, but I'm betting for the Braves offense.
  3. You dudes who are changing from Braves to Dodgers are going to regret it bigly!
  4. Kendrick at 1st is atrocious!
  5. Would've loved it if Stroman got the most votes. How the hell did Biggio not get at least 1?
  6. That is very dumn of me. I thought Yarbrough was an opener last year and that's why so many wins. Should've known he was a bulk guy with the innings he pitched. Carry on.
  7. What's up, Blow Jay community? I just have to vent for a minute here. I've always been obsessed with baseball stats growing up. I'd buy baseball cards and memorize the data on them. But I've been recently been having real beef with the "win" criteria. Can anyone tell me how someone labelled a starter like Glasnow, can pitch 4.1 innings with 0 runs allowed and leading 3-0 when he left the game, is less deserving than f***ing Drake who only pitched 2 innings and allowed a run, leaving the game at 3-2? All while an "opener" can pitch 2 innings to start the game under the same circumstances and get the win?! The stat is pointless because there's no consistency. Also, don't get me started on save, whip, or RBI statistics! Not to mention assists in hockey. Two players can get an assist on one play???? It's pure lunacy. Looking forward to a drunk Spanky repost.
  8. Love it when I see another intelligent poster on this board. Few and far between.
  9. Gerrit Cole is going to be 30 next year, going to be 35, 5 years later, and 40, 5 years after that. And so on and so forth. Hard pass!
  10. You have slowly become my favourite poster.

  12. I just made my post without reading this. You have wisdom, glory.
  13. You dudes place way more importance on offensive production than defensive. You look at wRC+ and think that since Fisher may have an extra 10 on that stat line in the minors then he's deserving more than someone like Alford. He's stricking out at ~34% in the majors in 150 games while playing piss poor defense. Alford is striking out as much in 25 games while providing above average defense. Your arguments might have some weight if we're talking about taking time away from a Gurriel type. McKinney and Fisher will be out of the league in 2 years. At least see if Alford can be a Pillar type. All defense and very little offense. He can still be valuable in that case. What the f*** is there to lose in testing him out?
  14. So you have hope in Fisher who's had ample time to prove himself, but you've given up completely on Alford who hasn't had the same opportunity....got it!
  15. Oops. Damn autocorrect.
  16. A non Alford related post for Boxcrap. Did you know that Biggio has provided 2.2 WAR in 91 games despite providing negative defensive value? If moved to another position, he can be even more valuable. Gurriel had provided 2 WAR in 82 games despite the early year struggles. Bichette has provided 1.7 WAR in 46 games as a 21 year old shortstop. Jansen had provided 1.4 WAR despite providing very little on the offensive side. McGuire has provided 1.3 WAR in 23 games. And all are well below the future Miggy Cabrera/MVP type we have sitting at 3rd on the depth chart. Add in the Pearson/Kay/Moanoahs/SWR on the pitching side, toss in a few high level talents through free agency, and let Alford blossom as an all star center fielder... And the future is bright!!!
