    Yeah, I've been sorta lukewarm about him. Many folks assume Shapiro is actually making the GM decisions, but I'm not so sure about that.

    Blue Jays central had a big piece about how they were all on the trade-block. Don't think Rogers would be broadcasting it on the show if it wasn't true.

    This is spot on. I remember hearing in the 90's a lot on broadcasts "The ump has been very consistent with calling that pitch a strike/ball all night" when it was obviously the wrong call.

    Yeah, I was sorta confused as to why he was being so transparent about it. Gotta be a big distraction for the players to have a major factor in their lives in limbo like that.

    Umps have been brutal all around. I've been watching a lot of out of market games and it seems the umps are worse than ever. It's probably just all the more obvious because they have the pitch-trax thing now though.

    Hmm. I actually just checked out his Fangraphs page. For some reason I thought he had a better season with the Pad's last year.

    Ehhh, it's just a good baseball call. I put a little money on the Angels just because the line was so strong. It was a good indication to me that Vegas fully expected LA to win. Pair that was with Sanchez's finger problems and it only made sense to fade him tonight. Seeing Vladdy out of the lineup was the cherry on top for me to lay money on the Angels.

    f***, I was watching his last start against the Tigers and he clearly looked off. No zip on his fastball and the Tigers s***** lineup was pounding him. I thought he must've been injured.

    Montoyo needs to have some real protection behind Vlad so he sees some better pitches to hit. Pitchers have been pitching him very cautiously and he's been too eager to make something happen. I'd have Vlad bat 2nd or 3rd in front of Smoak.
