  1. Good point. The additions really weren't much of a vote of confidence. Might've been demoralizing for the clubhouse.
  2. I agree. It's just not that good of a team. It's pretty good on paper, but they don't have the "it" factor. Crappy bullpen, spotty rotation, one dimensional offense, no roster depth ETC. I really think people overreacted to the offense because of the games in those little league parks.
  3. lol well when the bottom half of the order consists of Chapman, Cavan Biggio, Whit Merrifield and JBJ, it's not exactly difficult
  4. Wouldn't be the first player in history who turns to s*** as soon as they get a big contract. Also, pitching in the AL East is a completely different beast than the AL Central
  5. It's because they added a bunch of impact players at the deadline. This team did not lol
  6. People often forget that they spent most of the year playing in those minor league parks... Imagine Bautista and EE having a season like that? They both would've crushed 60+ homeruns easily. This team doesn't even have 1 player performing to the level of JD/JB/EE in 2015.
  7. You're dreaming... In baseball, experience matters. Guys like Bautista, Donaldson and Encarnacion all producing at superstar levels supplemented by guys like Tulo, Martin and Smoak. That lineup was murderers row. And they had a solid veteran rotation that could be relied on day in and day out to keep the offense in it. Price was a beast, Estrada was having a career year, Dickey and Beurhle being old reliable. That team had the chemistry to go all the way. You compare that lineup to this roster and it's not even close... Not even in the same ballpark.
  8. I agree. Cimber in high leverage situations always makes me cringe. Again tonight, an 85 MPH fastball right down the middle crushed for an RBI. He's lucky that meatball didn't leave the yard.
  9. What? Little whit merrifield and his 643 OPS wasn't the offensive help you were expecting?
  10. Yeah, I don't really understand why this front office is held in such high regard. You look at a lot of the multi-year signings and they're not that great. Ryu was underwhelming, Grichuk sucked, Kickuchi's a dumpster fire, Berrios deal was a gross overpay, Springer's best years look behind him ETC
  11. This Orioles team really has a "Major League" vibe going on. You gotta love the underdog stories like this.
  12. Jays need a guy like this in the pen, dude throws smoke
  13. Vladdy ground out to end the game incoming lmao
  14. Nasty... Lourdes had no chance
  15. Nice. Not so fast, come on Lourdes, poke through a single
  16. Kinda disheartening to see how limp the Jays look. They had to have realized that this is a big statement series.
  17. Man, this really is quite the statement from the Orioles. Doesn't seem to be a lack of morale after the deadline losses.
  18. Rougy's the Blue Jay destroyer lol
  19. They're giving away Friends shirts as a promotion? Gotta be one of the worst giveaways. Who thinks of this stuff?
  20. Awhh man... Hate rain delays
  21. Bobo! atta boy!
  22. Yeah but you're not taking into account the talent of each roster on those particular teams. This team ain't no 2015 2nd half Blue Jays and same goes for the Yanks
  23. Any team? Yeah, maybe in a 162 season, but sure as hell not in the playoffs.
  24. Bo ain't no cuck. His streaked bleached long hair and his huge matching diamond earings are very masculine
  25. This is a pretty good team, but it doesn't have the it factor. Bullpen sucks, 1 dimensional offense with very little veteran presence, Only 2 good starting pitchers. Now the team in the 2nd half of 2015, THEY had the it factor. You know it when you see it. Problem is in the playoffs we're going to be facing the best starting pitching and the best bullpens in the league. In those situations you want some guys on the roster who've been there before. Maybe this is a year they can use for gaining some invaluable experience, but the window isn't getting any wider. No chance the Jays are going to beat a team like the Yankees, Astros, Mets or Dodgers in the playoffs. So it's kind of hard to understand what the long term vision is for this team.
