  1. I bet you that will frame very well
  2. June 8 Bichette - 1 Point Varsho - 2 Points - wilko Springer - 2 Points - mphenhef Belt - 2 Points Vladdy - 3 Points - Abomimation Chapman - 3 Points Jays4life69 Kirk - 4 Points - Dylan, JohnHavok Merrifield - 6 Points - jaysblue, Stangstag Kiermaier - 7 Points - JaysAllMighty Espinal - 7 Points - Jonn Off the bench: 10 Points I really wanted to take off the bench tonight but I will play it safer.
  3. Coors does tend to impact batting average more than homeruns.
  4. Reading this thread and it seems like people way undervalue Romano and have this erroneous thought that elite closers never fail. Jordan Romano has a career save percentage that is higher than those of Diaz, Pressley, Bednar, Hader, Clase and Williams. He's only 1.5 % below Mo. Elite closers still fail 10-15% of the time...people need to realize that.
  5. Bichette - 1 Point - mphenhef Vladdy - 2 Points - wilko, Candy Maldonado Chapman - 2 Points - JohnHavok Varsho - 2 Points - Spanky, Abomination Springer - 2 Points - Omar Belt - 3 Points - TheHurl, jays-blue, Dylan Merrifield - 5 Points - Stangstag Kiermaier - 6 Points - WryNGinger Heineman - 7 Points Off the bench: 10 Points - JaysAllMighty
  6. Can I take Varsho tonight please?
  7. If Manoah wasn't happy about the major league contract he was given, he's really not going to be happy about minor league pay.
  8. That's crazy...I'm surprised no one has mentioned it on the broadcast /s
  9. He's like Pepe le Pew where people mistake him for a cat but eventually they realize he just stinks.
  10. It is absolutely inexcusable that a supposed World Series hopeful that was running into a season with huge question marks in Berrios and Kikuchi in the rotation has zero depth available for spot starts. Atkins has wasted away many years of two controllable, young superstars by failing to address the obvious weaknesses of the team (first bullpen and now rotation depth). It's a shame really as now they are entering the more expensive years of Bo and Vlad with 3 starting position players heading for free agency next year and a pretty piss poor farm system.
  11. A lot of people have said it is because they have no one better to call up to replace him, but at this point I don't get that argument. Even if the person you call up is just as bad or even slightly worse (if that is even possible?) the gain you make if a month of that allows you to get Manoah right would be well worth it. It's been two months, it's not happening at the major league level.
  12. I will take Vlad in solidarity too
  13. I would guess there is a big difference in his mind of handing the reins over to someone he inherited versus handing them over to someone he had worked with an known for years and was able to hand pick.
  14. May 31 Vladdy - 1 Point - wilko Bichette - 1 Point Chapman - 2 Points - JaysAllMighty, Abomination Varsho - 2 Points Springer - 2 Points - Jonn Kirk - 4 Points -Dylan Biggio - 5 Points - Spanky, JaysBlue, JohnHavok,mphenhef Merrifield - 5 Points Kiermaier - 6 Points Off the bench: 10 Points -
  15. It was, but it was due to Shapiro publicly criticizing him (for not building a sustainable winner and I can't imagine anyone would argue Atkins is doing better than AA at that now) and then taking away all autonomy from him privately.
  16. Interesting. Maybe the Cubs figured out their sign stealing system?
  17. May 30 Vladdy - 1 Point Bichette - 1 Point Chapman - 2 Points Varsho - 2 Points Springer - 2 Points - mphenhef Belt - 3 Points - JaysAllMighty Kirk - 4 Points - Dylan Biggio - 5 Points - JohnHavok, Spanky, wilko Merrifield - 5 Points Off the bench: 10 Points
  18. I could be wrong, but it feels like he has thrown lots of s***** pitches to start games and innings too. First pitch to a batter would be with more time too. It would be an interesting thing to look at if someone had the time and resources.
  19. May 28 Vladdy - 1 Point Bichette - 1 Point -mphenhef Chapman - 2 Points Varsho - 2 Points Springer - 2 Points Belt - 3 Points Kirk - 4 Points - JaysAllMighty Biggio - 5 Points Merrifield - 5 Points Off the bench: 10 Points
  20. Good thing I didn’t!
  21. You know, I almost switched my pick when I saw no one had taken bichette…ah well
  22. Double points Saturday Vladdy - 2 Point - LTBF Bichette - 2 Point - Chapman - 4 Points - Jays4life,Stangstag Varsho - 4 Points - JohnHavok Springer - 4 Points - Omar Belt - 6 Points - WryNGinger, jaysblue Merrifield - 10 Points - JaysAllMighty Kiermaier - 12 Points - Candy Maldonado Heineman - 14 Points - Hurl Off the bench: 20 Points - Spanky, mphenhef
  23. The only reliever they even drafted is Pearson. Mayza and Romano are AA draft picks.
  24. Which is funny as it was probably a guess from the media based on the doors being shut longer than normal and then he confirmed it for them.
  25. At this point, anyone surprised by that last at bat outcome? I want so bad for the expectation there to be good things, but it really isn't.
