  1. In your opinion Who is having a better season. Or worse if you prefer. Berrios @ 5.86 era or Kikuchi @ 5.08 era The ERA #s surprised me. I knew JB has been bad but didn't realize how bad. And Chapmans heater has his OPS within .011 of Bo and Teoscar. Nice run for him.
  2. Fresh meat...I am OK with this. Up until this season dude was 1K and inning every year. Lets see if that slider has a couple more miles in it...
  3. 100% this was supposed to be our Robbie Ray 2.0 signing.
  4. Can anyone tell me anything about Max Castillo? I see he is having a good season, just turned 23 and is 280 lbs. That is all i know.
  5. I would stretch RB out again as a SP. He does not seemed well suited to come in and blow guys away for an inning. If he isn't claimed stretch him out, let him get his feel for the strike zone back and hopefully have a valued MLB pitcher again.
  6. Some great numbers in Buffalo. What can anyone tell me about Adrian Hernandez other than his minor league career so far has been great and he is listed as 5'8". And he is from the same Mexican hometown as another great BJ closer from the past that got ran out of MLB.
  7. This game was lost IMO when they pulled merryweather after a 7 pitch inning. If you are down a guy or 2 in the pen manage with your brain and not the speadsheet.
  8. On the 2 days a week C-Mont doesnt have Tapia in the lineup they could go Springer Vladdy Teoscar Bo Lourdes
  9. That was Bichette filming Larry from Mount Rushmore
  10. Might be an option to send Kikuchi to the pen to get him right.
  11. dumn 1. Slow to learn or understand; lacking intellectual acuity. 2. Dull, uninteresting or appealing to one; gay.
  12. OK, I know that this will be an unpopular post but here it goes. Management made the tough choice to end the Vladdy is a 3rd baseman experiment and it turned out spectacular. How about Espinal to SS and Bo to 2nd base. Does anyone think that Bo is a better defender than Espinal? i do not. many routine bad throws. many do not appear as errors as Vladdy has bailed him out a ton. IMO the only reason this has not been done is they don't want to get BOs nose out of joint. If this is a concern nobody wants Bo pissed off. BUT the team would be better if they switched positions. This switch worked out pretty well for Marcus Semien.
  13. Way too many errant throws. 2 of his 1st 3 throws to first last night were horrible. In a sport that tracks almost everything it would be interesting to know what % of BOs throws to first require Vladdy to leave the base/off target. i bet it is top 5 in MLB for SS.
  14. Not sure who Kay has pictures of but they have promoted him after a sterling opening game performance of: one GS in AAA to begin the campaign, lasting 2.1 innings while allowing five hits, three earned runs, and four walks. Dump this bum and give me AJ Cole back. Or roll the dice on any still out there FA (Except Dolis, Chatwood and Axford LOL). Or promote Vasquez, Hatch, Biagini or Allgeyer. Kay is a solid prospect except that he is fat and out of shape, has the attention span of a child, can't repeat his delivery and has no game sense or intensity. If he wasn't traded for by management he would be LONG gone.
  15. The old expression: Great teams lose 60 games Horrible teams win 60 games That only leaves 42 games to decide the division winner.
  16. You never know what management is thinking. Might be a post spring traing camp battle for CF. If Zimmer looks better than Tapia maybe Tapia gets kicked to the curb... The catching position might look a whole lot diferent come Septmeber and they want to see what they have.
  17. The scenario would be if he doesn't stay with the big club. When rosters are reduced it has to be him or Tapia. Not sure if Tapia has options to be sent down but when healthy there may not be room for him on the roster unless Tapia can not handle CF. I remember watching Zimmer as a rookie and he has blinding speed. His SB success % is awesome. Can't hate on this trade.
  18. Quite bad with very little upside. I guess Francis could be an emergency fill in. No more Zeuch, Waguespack, Gaviglio which believe it or not I would prefer. Maybe Luciano is an option
  19. Ths trade tells me the team was not going to carry 3 cathers once the rosters are reduced for the 2nd time. Jays were going to loose Reece's pieces for nothing. This gives the team an extra LH depth catcher to play in AAA. This is a very minor move on the edges of the 26 man roster.
  20. Still early in spring but I am not sure the Jays will ever put out a lineup that disappoints. So far really enjoying Lukes. He can play CF as well. AND yes he swings from that funny side of the plate.
  21. Very good #s 112 games-27 HRs, 91 RBI-.362 OBP - .894 OPS
  22. I remember being envious of the NYY and the young Greg Bird. He burst on to the scene as a 22 year old with a .871 OPS in 46 games. Might not be so far fetched for him to have a bit of a run with this line-up
  23. Could Greg Bird be the LH hitter this team needs? DH/1B when Vladdy is DH. 162 game average 28 HRs and 85 RBI Just needs to stay healthy.
  24. Dodger players voiced last year that they did not want him around. IMO if he is not traded he will sit.
  25. I am 100% fine with the platoon we have for 2nd. In fact i am convinced Espinal could win a gold glove there and be a part of the best infield defense in MLB. We do not need an upgrade here. Save our prospect capital.
