    Where do you think you can get a SP that replaces ACEucki's 2018 that easily? And a lefty at that... A healthy ACEucki is a solid SP, I wouldn't just dump him for maybe a grass in greener... Why don't we give him a season injury free to see if he can replicate. He has a great makeup, seemed to be improving in velocity from 2018 in 2019 ST, then cam down with injuries. I would not give up on him, just like that...

    Except in this case, they need to receiving team to take 100% salary. Not like a prospect and they eat half etc like in the past. I really think they need to dump 100% of Happs commitments and the receiver has leverage. Remember, Happ was not good last year and only getting older.

    To add: It sounds like Sanders and Cherington were responsible for most of our best draft picks. I know Lacava was responsible for some of our best acquisitions.. So, let’s hope we don’t lose LaCava..

    I am not on the we have to sign a big FA bandwagon. However, I will say the Atkins, Shapiro corporate speak was fnnn boring after week 1 and now fnnn annoying. We must have one of the most vanilla and boring front offices in baseball. I have mentioned it many times, I think Shapiro is about sustainability, but at the cost of pulling the trigger to get us over the hump in FA and trade. You have to be able to pull the trigger sometimes and don’t let risk paralyze you.

    Probably going to re-sign with LAD since apparently Ryu is their fall back plan if Strasburg and Cole are off the board. (Assuming he goes Yankees)

    No- You are talking about past performance, which is not indicative of future and current at that age and injury history. Look at Hurl's post about all the guys non-tendered and the previous WAR numbers they put up... Really good numbers, but still non-tendered, because a lot of ML brain trusts do not think sustainable going fwd or not same player.

    Why would you you want to delay all the commuters, cause a traffic jam and traumatize the driver...? Think of the big picture. LAD are back in discussion with Ryu.. I do not see him leaving LA for Toronto unless HUGE, BIGGLY overspend by us... Considering he is 32 now and will be 33 in March, I would not risk that and age plus contract does not seem to fit with our timeline..

    So Montoyo goes out for a mound visit, bottom of the ninth, tie game, two runners on, no out, Giles on the mound. He calls the infield in for to talk about what they want to do. Montoyo has to tell the Gringos in English, then switch to Spanish, at least he doesn't need a translator, then the Japanese translator tells our 1b.. Talk about slowing down the game

    Interesting and you are exactly right.. However all it really does is point out how irrelevant those WAR numbers are when assessing players for future performance combined with age.

    Isn't he a Boras client? I would assume he would have a no trade clause... I don't see that happening with a Boras client and Cole unless the AAV was insanely high..

    What am I missing from the Hurl and Booze Hound trade. When I look at it on Fantrax I don't see anything going from Hurl? Only Booze Hounds to Hurl, a lot...??

    Finally the Packers get a TD. However so many fnn running plays when you are down 23-0 in the 3Q.. It is like they were a team with the lead and the ball trying to run down the clock....
