  1. Have any of you guys seen this one? It talks about the Jays in October and how history will be made and how you can buy playoff tickets. Am I the only one who thinks this is grossly premature? There's no guarantee with how tight the race is that the Jays will even get a wildcard spot. I've only had time to tune in here and there lately, but I was pretty dumbfounded to see that commercial.
  2. Come on Jays, let's get a 2015-like comeback going on!
  3. lol holy s***!! Never thought Navarro was gonna make it! Hopefully none of those dumb-ass Jays fans touched the ball out there.
  4. Do you guys have any faith in Benoit and Grilli in big-time late game situations? Cause I sure don't.
  5. These right-handed s***-ballers are really exposing the Jays need for some left handed hitters.
  6. Damn... Ubaldo would shut down the Jays. Let's go Birds! Gonna need more than 1 run tonight.
  7. His results are simply normalizing and aligning with his FIP
  8. The 8.5 million could be utilized in far more effective ways.
  9. I hear ya... I thought his skill-set would serve us well, but its' not. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but my recollection recalls him being s*** off the bench too... I just don't see the upside anymore... ... Of course now he'll probably hit 30+ home-runs next year and everyone will be re-posting this message to shove in my face.
  10. I understand the need for having a back-up plan, but for 8.5 million you're better off giving "scraps" to Collabello to serve as a back-up plan.. And if that fails the scrap heap is always littered with aging power hitters who could potentially be revitalized by playing in the Dome.
  11. I liked the idea of having Smoak play in the AL East. I thought he may just be a less talented Mark Trumbo piece who could potentially rake up some big numbers over here... But at this point the experiments failed... Why extend the guy at this point?
  12. I don't know what Shapiro was thinking extending that guy for. I'm actually a big fan of the new regime (even though I was initially skeptical) but the Smoak contract makes no sense... May as well just roll with Collabello.
  13. True. I should have said that he got on top of it. It sucks and all, but baseball is largely a game of luck... You can demolish a pitch right at a guy for an out or you can jammed with a lousy swing and dunk one in for a single. I still hate anyone hating on Eddy... Bautista, sure. He kinda deserves it this year, but lets not get carried away.
  14. Indeed! It was the most anti-climatic s*** ever! Like having an 8 jump in bed with you and at the last minute decide that she "just wants to go to bed"
  15. I think Bostons the weaker of the 2 teams, so we gotta be rooting for them!
  16. @Belliss: Edwins been the clear-cut team MVP... We can't start losing our s*** because he rolled over one in a sensational situation.
  17. Most definitely, but tomorrow the Jays have Estrada facing Pineda... I love Marco, and I've been extremely surprised by his performance... But he still does make me nervous in Yankee Stadium. Jays have Happ VS Sabathia on Wednesday though, so we should at least win 1 against the depleted Stankees
  18. I dunno if it's gonna be that easy. The Yankees are on a "Major League" like Indians Ricky Vaughn surge... It seems ever since they shipped off some key pieces that Girardi has em playing over their heads. They're literally hot as hell right now.
  19. Yankees were 2-18 with runners in scoring position... Jays were 0-3... We're lucky New York didn't lay an ass beating on us tonight.
  20. Thole should never have a bat in his hands at this profession level
  21. Well to the Jays credit, they do have a pretty weak lineup scheduled for tonight.. When you have Josh Thole in the lineup you're pretty much conceding 1 out per a 9 man lineup.... Guys like Cecliani don't help matters any... And BJ Uptons looking like his after acceptable date.
