  1. so your rebel-without-a-cause son types in that "dad was racist again tonight, he's such a jerk" and it's not remotely true...
  2. and then it will happen to them, hope they are powerful enough to try to have it ignored or whitewashed for them by friends
  3. it HAS happened, wouldn't count on it unless it turns out a lot more explosive than we have reason to believe, or he attacks the judge
  4. any means necessary, any acknowledgement it wasn't the wisest thing to do would be fine, pretty well entirely for his own sake and future. This isn't like George Bell screaming from the podium that he was going to keeeel John Robertson.
  5. any luck in finding it on the Toronto Star site? still doesn't excuse Stro for that rant, just say it was a bad day and semi-apologize and keep your cool, please??
  6. That was the Toronto Star in June-July 2003. Geoff Baker was the genius behind that trash.
  7. The Star's smear of the Jays for being racist with player photos marked, dictating what the race was for each roster member was way way before 2016.... that was the Ricciardi years...
  8. The bum on a park bench with a paper bagged bottle was an apt symbol for Griffin on a a former Jays site.
  9. So much we would never have known about unless Griffin thoughtfully wrote it up for us.
  10. Thor with a runner on second, none out. He clearly balks but the ump washes it out and points at the batter, who apparently called for time. The ump sure didn’t signal time out. What I liked was the Ron and Keith and Gary all stated the ump was dead wrong to do this, although it helped the Mets huge. It was a balk. I don’t recall Pat and Buck saying the Jays were helped out for any of 1,000s of horrible calls that went the Jays way.

    NBA Thread

that time of the season when new fans see a great dunk in a Summer League Game and pronounce the dunker will dominate the NBA
  12. Making them watch the O's broadcast? I have never seen a MLB team allow a run to score on an errant rountine toss from catcher to pitcher, that was the closest it's come. If the runner at third had been a bit more aggressive he may have made it in for a run.
  13. Hicks reached 104 a few times last night against the Sox according to the Cardinals TV broadcast
  14. Cleveland 17 Cincinnati 0 so far What sport is this? The Browns couldn’t have done this for at least thirty years now.
  15. Ozuna fouls one off the groin and hits the ground, takes a few minutes to recover and walk it off. Hrabosky then says he has heard that some outfielders are not wearing a cup in this day and age. He is joking, right?
  16. does he come back from this even if it isn't true?
  17. how do you undo this one if it isn't true??? he got in an offseason bar brawl against off-duty cops a few years ago, i was disappointed he didn't have friends around him who could keep him out of altercations like this, at the very least.
  18. Buffalo Bills have a huge accusation on their hands today started by social media...
  19. nice to read his lawyer is convinced things are going quite spiffy
  20. O’s catcher returns a pitch way over the head of the pitcher with Yankees on all bases. No runs score. O’s crew reminds the kids watching to always be ready to back up the play even for the most routine situations because you never know in baseball.
  21. Not too big on this stuff, but this is interesting. His D was a little bit off.... He was MVP material the other big bat years
  22. He broke the model with that season. Would have been much better if he was a DH, playing for a garbage team as well.
  23. Mike still beating up on old ladies and obvious slow minds who don't agree with his cheerful stats cuecard?
  24. Jerry Royster with -4.0 for the Braves in the 70s? Bichette put up a -2.3 with a .298 34HR 133 RBI season 1999
