Celtics cruised to a comfortable loss, giving half a s*** with game 7 on the horizon. Fun game to watch anyways. This can backfire, Dantley got a concussion and the Microwave had to sit for most of a game 7 for the Bad Boys, costing them a series when they were a much better team than the Celtics in 1987. Should have swept Boston....
  2. not to be mistaken, Roy is in his own category of achievement for this franchise, even without playoff glory, Stieb to a lesser extent but with some playoff stuff is up there as well. for long stretches I expected both men to throw a no-hitter or perfect game when they took the hill only Pedro has also provided that kind of domination for my 45 years of watching

seems a decent attempt by both teams last night, been quite awhile in this playoff season i will tune in for both game 7s for sure, they have to care for that one
  4. really not a good year to be struggling in the AL East

This is a good stat of the 56 playoff games so far in the NBA when a team built a 20-point first quarter lead, 46 times so far, they always won the game

And Toronto fans are EXPERTS on a team completely quitting out there. The Raptors couldn't have possibly cared less for the 2nd half of game 2 and the whole of game 4 with the Cavs.

Yes, how could I think LeBron wasn't going to give 100% on a given night? he dogf---s half the games away, which is perfectly fine in this day and age you just quoted a dumb stat for a game where one team didn't really care at all? is this what you do with your life????

It was double-digits after the first quarter, one team took a dump on the game, what a disgrace, they can't even bother to care during layup line. I have absolutely no clue what will happen when LeBron chooses to show up as well as Boston. Should be a great game. A few years ago in the Stanley Cup Final the Canucks and Bruins had a who-cares pact for 6 games with the away team dogging it. Then the Bruins showed up for game 7 in Vancouver.
  9. He picked up the Astros clubhouse cheat tricks readily. Why baseball allows Houston this advantage is a mystery (Mike Scott was the most blatant and scot-free)

Used to be just watch the last five minutes of an NBA game. Now just watch the first five minutes because one team is probably mailing it in, especially in the playoffs
  11. Playoff runs always beat dismal decades of non-playoff fumbling, stumbling, bumbling... always
  12. Watched Harvey's debut as a Red at home last night, loaded them in the first and got out with not a scratch, left with a nice lead after 5 for the win. That stadium is such a bandbox.
  13. 5 is the outer limits of respect 10 would be crass and cynical gesturing, which can be accomplished with a simple hand gesture as he strolls up If I'm there I will stand and cheer, he provided the best memories after 1993.
  14. 5 minute standing ovation for him.
  15. Hopefully the Angles forbid him doing this reckless stunt of a HR derby.

In a game 7 both teams shoud putatively care to try their best and not mail it in?

Would be nice to have one game this round that was worth watching more than the first six minutes
  18. Read a little bit on here...... before rushing to a hasty attempt at an attack.....
  19. Maybe behind the scenes helped ease the decision?
  20. some have declared 2018 Year One of a Braves Dynasty not a ruddy clue why

Delete after 9 minutes a dog of a game.
  22. 92 wins is the current pace for the second wild card, which isn’t crazy to accomplish. Soooooo.... Jays have to go 70-46 to get there, 600 the rest of the way
  23. the Jays show no respect to Murderer's Row when they visit, on any team!!! and it's hammer time all series long!!!! i guess you don't notice it, Buck sure doesn't.
  24. Khris Davis is a terror in Oakland, has to be the least likely place to junk out a home run in MLB. When he comes to the bandbox dome in Toronto, remember this, please? But they lobbed it in to Chris Davis and coudln't get enough tape measure blasts by Papi either.
