  1. Jays have never, Bob Bailor stole a base in the same game he did a little pitching duty.
  2. The exact quote isn’t being stated but it was racial. Can’t do that any more.
  3. Other sources have detailed it a little more, the actual comment has not been released, which is probably for the best. It can’t stay under wraps for long though.
  4. Apparently a racial comment at a team employee.....
  5. what are they going to realistically do? develop uber-geek girls starting in grade 5? my friends sons are writing code at age 7 for fun
  6. most STEM kids in my life growing up were heavily influenced to pursue this path from the cradle on upward a Dad with an engineering ring meant a completely different path of hobbies and reading all through school
  7. trying the politically correct way of opening it up to new enrollment demographics quantum physics is a blast as well, you'll love every second!!
  8. organic chemistry and thermodynamics are cool !!! and fun!!!
  9. Herrera of the Phillies has a distinct form at the plate and roaming CF.
  10. "Country Joe West is not going to put up with that." He had 6 batters go at it with him for the NYY/Phillies game last night. One got him agitated enough to chase down.
  11. Strange seeing him in a Mets uniform tonight RBI double and nice running grab of a line drive in right
  12. Kershaw slated to go tonight at the Mets, worth a watch along with the Argos

thanks, sorta... there's 30 teams and roughly half of them are total trash and half of the others have no hope whatsoever to get anywhere except a quick playoff exit it's a time when a team wins 73 games and then grabs one of the best and thinks this is a wise and very brave move, then we are supposed to marvel at them winning it easily and we sit here waiting for LeBron to make up his mind who he is going to dictate he wants to play for, which kinda sucks but it is what it is so the draft is kinda pointless except for a kid to pile up money to the moon and try to play a decent career if he is good enough he can dictate where he goes, maybe even to a 73 win team...

the draft is just an interlude, if you get good enough you can go to whatever team you dictate has to take you each season
  15. If it bothers you that much, don’t waste your time coming here. When did you last see someone robbed of a home run in the deepest part of Yankee Stadium?
  16. Haniger robs Stanton over the centre field fence at Yankee Stadium, i didn’t see how far back he was playing him to begin with.
  17. Great shot of the pitcher screaming s*** in 100% bitter anger and bending in half on the Stanton walk-off I think I'll go listen to John Sterling's call, make some use of my MLB audio subscription A Stantonian home run!!!! (in case you were wondering what John would say...)
  18. he could pull out his credit card and retain a good criminal lawyer in Toronto if he's on a pro contract
  19. he's rich and lawyered up, he can buy his way out of any damper on his freedom
  20. used to have two VHS recorders, sometimes the logistics and wear and tear made it awful much nicer setting the PVR to 6 hours for a MLB game and watching it while it is still taping
  21. In the game at the same time, rotating between pitcher and left field for each batter? usually happens in an extra-innings game with a limited bench or a brawl resulting in a short bench. and a friendly reminder that you can't get credit for saving a game you win, the win takes precedence if you accomplish both feats in in a game
  22. i was informed that the combination of 19 year old Soto (Nats) and Gleybar's age 21 (Yankees) was the lowest combined age of two home run hitters in a game since the 1800s, a player with the nickname of Egyptian was part of the 1800s duo. Or something like that, not a stat I thrive on but a good factoid. In addition, Soto hammered two home runs, the second to the opposite field gap well past the Yankees bullpen, which is a rarity in that park for location, landing just in front of the Casio sign. the TV crew marvelled at this for awhile.

Started with six fans watching, 3 called it quits on the bogus call reversal. I was done with that garbage call described earlier There is no suspense in watching a 73 win team add Durant to the roster. So why bother when it’s no fun to watch

They did it! They took the evil delayed whistle, waiting to see if the shot went in on a blatant and-one, to the next quantum level! On a Korver 3 point shot they waited to see if it went in and THEN called the foul when it missed, a full second after contact. Usually they do this just for shots in the paint, sometimes the ball rolls around for a bit before it falls off and then they call the foul, which can take up to two seconds of delay on the whistle. When refs are asked about this contingent rule of delayed whistle and calling an obvious foul only if the shot is missed, they deny that they are doing this.
