  4. Well I can't really think of a team that has been hurting more for dependable/consistent starter innings.
  5. Definitely no shortage of utility options for the bench.
  6. I would be disappointed in that.
  7. Yeah that makes some sense, could use the steady innings.
  8. What if he was willing to split the difference at 3/50?
  9. I will miss his presence being missed on the field.
  10. Holy f*** that's quite a team, especially if Sanchez bounces back.
  11. Which one are we trading for Jon Gray?
  12. I usually gravitate more towards the hitters but Stinson sounds very intriguing.

I've long considered Ron to be the true hockey mind between the two
  14. You are not going to be selected in the 2019 MLB draft. Sorry
  15. Also I don't think many robbery plans include getting arrested.

Was it that bad though? It was certainly the right choice to have him up at the start of the year, the team was missing 6 of it's top 10 forwards and Comtois easily had the highest impact of the rookies/depth guys in their place. At the 9 game mark it would have been tough to send him down, the team was still beat up and Comtois was at nearly a PPG. Then he himself gets hurt, the Ducks get a bunch of bodies back and suddenly the entire outlook is different.

To be fair, he was injured in that tenth game which may have completely changed their plans. I will also point out that burning an ELC year isn't always a negative. There are cases where it has likely helped teams to get a player signed to a more reasonable second contract prior to a breakout in their third full season. I'm not saying it's something you can plan for, but it could very well turn out in the Ducks favor.

It was a weird move but they should be in good shape for this expansion draft either way, won't have veterans with NMC's clogging up their list this time.
  20. His scouting report is definitely unique. I absolutely agree that it makes sense to add a young MLB catcher in Kelly and then move Varsho off the position to try and get his bat (and legs) in the lineup sooner.
  21. Varsho is supposed to be easily athletic enough to move elsewhere if need be
  22. I remembered you being the biggest fan of the Cole return last off season so I was expecting you to like this for some of those same reasons.
  23. Assuming he has another Goldy type year, what would you expect his next deal to look like?
  24. Most of it belonging to Pearson
  25. In before tercet gets super upset over this post
