And I’m saying because he’s in a public place, he can’t say “if you don’t want to see my dick, then don’t look”. If he was parked in a layby, at night, with tinted windows you’d have a valid point.
TBF you can’t expect privacy in a vehicle in a car park outside an open store in broad daylight. What he did was stupid, illegal (which is why he was arrested) and also a little bit creepy.
This is the most important point in this thread. When there's outrage about even the smallest change, it makes it more difficult for more significant changes like robo umps and a NL DH to be implemented.
He's a fan favourite that makes flashy plays and "tries hard", a classic player that is overrated by people who don't care about analytics. This board hates players like that, because the majority of us are miserable nerds who hate fun.
If it isn’t overturned (and chances are it’ll be at least suspended like the various transfer bans for Chelsea and Real were) then Pep Guardiola will likely leave too.
Maybe if we start with a six man rotation, or get another injury. Too early to convert Thornton to a reliever IMO just because we have too many starters right now. Of course they may decide they prefer Shun in the bullpen, so problem solved.
TBF that statistic is completely misleading. Obviously it doesn't impact games where there are no intentional walks, so an average figure for every game means nothing.
That's literally what a 2 way player is. A hitter who can pitch despite not being designated as a pitcher. Any pitcher can be used to hit, but there's only a roster limit on the number of pitchers you have on the roster. So these rules effectively allow you an extra pitcher on the roster.
If he was having sex with someone it’d be embarrassing but not career ending. If he was on his own and deliberately exposing himself to passers by then he won’t play for us again. Surely he can’t have been that stupid though.
Can only imagine how awkward that phone call must have been. "Oh hi Reese, thanks for checking in - you wanting to know what time to show up for spring training?" "Well about that.... not sure I'll make it......"
TBF Roark, Anderson and Shoemaker are just placeholders to eat innings, none of them are long term pieces. Hopefully by the time we’ve got the position players to compete, a few of the many prospects will be good enough to make our rotation look better.
