  1. Volpe just tied it
  2. Alex Anthopoulos...
  3. Basically in line with preseason zips projections.
  4. Varsho back in the lineup gives me the fizz. Also I'm glad we hung on to Loperfido, this kid is going to stick.
  5. Flags fly forever. Would rather Bednar.
  6. How in the name of all that is holy did the Rays get Houser? Ross are you still there? ......Ross? Someone check on Ross.
  7. Sure but the Yanks have been pretty conservative thus far. Perhaps they will reunite with Severino by midnight.
  8. I kind of thought the Yankees would be wheeling and dealing today.
  9. Well he threw 59 pitches in his last rehab outing. Doesn't matter as long as he ready and on the bump come playoff time. With Bassitt and Mad Max on the way out I'm sure Atkins has something in the works. Maybe this will lead to an extension in the future? Atkins may have bagged the proverbial elephant with this move.
  10. When the Jays get decent pitching they can go on a heater. This doesn't apply to every team but in the Jays case, when their bats are healthy the balanced attack is tough to beat. They can really wear on the opposing starter. July has been a fun month for Blue Jay fans. I believe they will run away with the East regardless of the trade deadline acquisitions. My concern is who will show up in a short series in terms of starters come playoff time. Kind of a crapshoot based on history. Berrios, Gausman, Bassitt....they can equally s*** the bed in a playoff start.
  11. Absolutely. The whole scientific method is based on philosophical assumptions.
  12. I'm not sanguine that Houser will be a good fit for us. Hopefully Ross has something better in mind.
  13. This is like a punch in the gut. I wasn't aware until just now. I spent some years in Chicago and saw him play a number of times. Just an all around complete ball player. For about a decade he was the Cubs. Feel like crying. RIP Ryno. ps. If you are over 40 there is no reason/excuse to not get a prostate check at least once a decade.
  14. I worry about him. He has struck out 7 times this series.
