  2. Yeah, before everyone gets nostalgic about Teo don't forget about his 200+ strikeouts in 2023. You really wanted to pay him $25M for another 200k's in Toronto? We would have been better with him but I understand the reason we passed. Also not one other team seemed to have offered him a multi year deal. They didn't all get stupid overnight.
  3. They should really consider making it a lot shorter. Maybe 15 pitches per round. You can then avoid fatigue and let the batters go max effort. I found the event kind of boring to be honest.
  4. The fact that the Jays were in talks with him and ended up not even tendering him an offer sounds like someone vetoed it. Maybe Shapiro? Who knows?
  5. Read my post again. I was speaking to returning from injury not getting injured in the first place. Details matter.
  6. The Jays clearly valued a pick that was as close to ready, someone who wouldn't have command issues on the big stage. That being said, if they throw this guy onto the major league roster next season it would developmental malpractice. Start him at AA and go from there.
  7. Yeah but that one didn't end the game. When the other team walks you off and you're left spread eagled face down on the turf, well that is memorable, not in a good way. Maybe his gold chains were weighing him down:confused:
  8. Sounds like the Jays may have bagged the elephant with the Yesavage pick. Good for them..
  9. Borroa tracking them down.
  10. Little and Green combine to put out the fire. How about that Jays pen?
  11. This one run lead is about as safe as a chocolate donut on a fat farm.
  12. Verdugo you oaf!!:p
  13. These guys suck. Good night lads.
  14. Berrios is fooling no one tonight. They're getting their cuts on him. Lucky the score is what it is. Too bad the pen is worse.
  15. The first inning should be interesting. After that you can take it or leave it.
  16. That may get you a 4th place finish in the ALE.
  17. It is just conjecture but... Dodgers receive: shortstop Bo Bichette Blue Jays receive: second baseman Gavin Lux, right-handed pitcher River Ryan, right-handed pitcher Landon Knack and third baseman Jake Gelof https://heavy.com/sports/mlb/los-angeles-dodgers/bo-bichette-toronto-blue-jays-gavin-lux-trade-news/
  18. I swear we have lost at least ten winnable games this season.
