  1. Of the Dodgers top six prospects four are outfielders. De Paula, Hope, Sirota, Quintero. They are loaded. Their roster is also on the precipice of aging fast. To sign Tucker it would make sense to trade Teo but I don't see it happening. Smart move for them is to take a pass on Tucker, but then again they're the Dodgers.
  2. In the heart of the off season we take it to another level here at Blue Jays centre.
  3. Why would the Jays allow him to pitch in the WBC prior to the beginning of the season? Why would he even consider it ? His goal should be to be completely healthy on opening day. La Makina is starting to piss me off.
  4. Yeah it's a huge number for Tucker. If the Jays land Bo with 7/210 I wouldn't complain I guess. He would be entering his last year of that contract at age 34/35 so not the end of the world for the Jays. Some in this board were predicting that Bo would garner a bigger payday than Tucker before the off-season. 😂
  5. Nothing groundbreaking but anyways...
  6. I could see him going as high as 6/$180M
  7. Let Bo go folks. Bellinger can play all three outfield positions. Can spot Vladdy on 1b. And you can reinvest the dollar differential to eventually sign Varsho or go elsewhere. Edit: and devastating the Yankees is a fringe benefit
  8. I will take what's behind door number three Monty... Cody Bellinger. Less money than Tucker, more versatile than Bo and better defensive value. That said, always take the better player when forced to choose. Right?
  9. Taylor Rogers contract apparently has a vesting option that could up the deal to $48M total value. The Jays are sure pushing their chips to the center of the table. Rumour has it that Taylor Rogers was told if he signed with the Jays, Atkins promised to name the stadium after him too. Boss moves all around.
  10. David Stearns is going to get canned. Good luck in 2026 Juan Soto.
  11. Got to give it up to Shapiro for getting the dollars out of Rogers to support this team. That alone is quite an accomplishment.
  12. Crazy if true. Can't see this happening.
  13. The Polar Bear is going to fall of a cliff in year 3. Congratulations O's.
  14. The Jays can't afford to let Tucker sign elsewhere, least of all to the dreaded Dodgers. That means the Jays may have to extend the term. Might have to go seven years. Perhaps the better option is to get Belli for his versatility? Bo is off my radar. Sorry but it is better to take a pass on him. Let him go to Boston and age ungracefully.
  15. I don't know. I listened to the presser and he said it kind of matter of fact not really trying to pump the Jays tires.
  16. This is all on Berrios. He strikes me as the type of guy who tries to fix himself. The Jays have had the Rapsodo technology for the last seven years and yet he doesn't avail himself of it to improve. Getting tired of his "I'm taking my ball home and leaving attitude". Dump him Ross!
  17. Wearing the batting helmet while playing first base did him in unfortunately. Can't put a guy like that in Cooperstown.
  18. I think if Bo is smart he lets Tucker sign first so he sets the bar for dollars. Thereafter he can sign to whatever degree below what Tucker gets. It's just business.
