I think this is true, but in theory only. We all have to admit that part of the Jays success in 2025 was the team make up or chemistry. Hard to precisely quantify intangibles but there was something there and from all reports Clement was smack dab right in the middle of it. Clement's value to the team versus his salary is remarkabley high so you wouldn't gain much by trading him but you may lose an awful lot. You can't break up the band yet Jim. The Jays have to run it back. If the next iteration of the team fails, well as you said, no untouchables. It's just business after all.
