Salary cap is a good idea as long as high salary floor exists as well. Forcing those penny pitchers to actually compete would be the best thing for Baseball.

    Kirk showing off those wheels

These AB’s make me want to turn off the game already. Oka just missed a curveball by 10 feet.

You can't really blame the Dodgers for going to get Skubal. Baseball is so weak right now. And they have tons of good prospects. This move barely hurts them and puts them in a prime position to 3 peat. It would be hard to see any team currently that could beat them.

https://x.com/Sportsnet/status/2083674035880112426/video/1?s=46 Apparently the team has already sat down with George and they presented him with a few trade options and he told them he really wants to be in Boston. So weird interview today because he’s likely to be Red Sox on Monday lol.

I can't wait until Daulton Varsho is off my Baseball team. I can only watch a man falter in big spots so many times in my life. World Series was a horror show. If I ever design a haunted house I am going to play his Highlights from Game 7 for the all the times he came up and failed..

That's my slap hitter! Way to go the other way Vladdy!

This team will only go as far as Luis Urias will carry them.

Extremely perplexing decision to let Gausman start this game.

What mistake did I make? I didn't sign him lol. I mean I watched him pitch for years in the NPB. He was nasty. He had command issues for a long time and once he put it together he was basically unstoppable. He had a 17 strikeout game a year ago. Flirted with multiple no hitters. Including getting a combined one after pitching 8 innings. Both lead the league in ERA and WHIP. He was easily the most dominant NPB pitcher after Yamamoto left to the Big Leagues. Its not always a slam dunk transition. I just think after 15 starts where he has had both injury and adjustment issues its a little early to write him off.

Well atleast they got one run I guess. They usually get nothing so I guess I can't complain when they leave a runner on second with nobody out.

Did it go over the wall?

That's our modern day version of going Back to Back.

Damn Vladdy just missed his first Homerun at Rogers Centre this Season.

I mean the deadline isn't until Monday. Teams haven't gave their best offers yet. I think will see most things get done Sunday and Monday. For years July 31st has been painted in our heads. But the deadline is now August 3rd. Feels weird.

Jordan Walker is 24 but looks 45.

Dylan Cease's body starting to feel a bit cranky. Maybe thinking about shutting him down soon and get him ready for next year.

Did Springer just get jammed on a 3-0 swing lmao.

Tell Daulton I will be driving over the border this weekend. I will be more than happy to take him through PA in my route back to VA

I think he’s 100 percent going to have to make some off-season adjustments on grips, shapes, and tunneling. He doesn’t go from having some of the best pure stuff the NPB has seen to middling stuff in the MLB. More to unlock for sure.
  23. Jonn
If you want to give him credit for those guys. You have to criticize him for Yesavage, And everyone else who has under performed this Season outside of the guys you mentioned. Obviously Cease and Varland have been elite. Cease biggest adjustment was his head turn that he experimented with himself. Not something Pete Walker told him to do.
  24. Jonn
Offense has been terrible but the rotation has horrendously underperformed. Also I’m just sick of his face
  25. Jonn
Time to give the Pete Walker the axe. Terrible performance from the pitching this Season across the board
