Ok first of all. You're looking at such an extreme small sample of starts. Yes Liriano has not pitched well this year. But he also hasn't been healthy. 2 of those disaster starts came when Martin wasn't behind the plate. And those inflated numbers are from those bad starts. He actually had a string of outings where he pitched well. Atleast as well as what he showed us when we came over from Pirates last year. He was excellent and I see no reason why he can't be good.
Comparing him and Bolsinger just doesn't make any sense. Liriano has outstanding stuff that he has a tough time commanding at times. Bolsinger has below average stuff and he didn't throw strikes either.
I'm not even fan of Liriano and I don't understand your point. I will take my chances all day with Frankie. Look back at his 2016 Blue Jays numbers as a sample. Not the handful of starts he made this year.
