  1. I wonder if they plan to start Vlad and Bo in Dunedin and move them up to New Hampshire when the weather warms up. People thought it was a lock they would open the season in Double-A but now I'm not so sure.
  2. I mean there is reason to believe that perhaps Bautista isn't actually as terrible as he was last season. He didn't just decline his talent fell off the map.
  3. Well the Red Sox will sign JD Martinez. It's really a matter of when and not if. Either they have to offer more or JD Martinez comes down to there offer. They are really bidding against themselves so no really hurry to get that done. If the Padres are considering offering Hosmer the type of money rumoured to be out there. They should probably be in the running for Martinez if Hosmer returns to the Royals.
  4. They should probably just re-brand completely at this point. Cleveland fans hate the Block C logo. Just lose the Indians altogether.
  5. Is that list even updated? It still says 2017. No way Acuna is #3 thats absurd.
  6. He has started 20 games at second base in the minors. 14 of them last year all at Lansing. However he started at SS every game he played for Dunedin.
  7. I don't even understand the rationale behind this. Vlad Jr is a mega prospect and what the Brewers gave up doesn't even compare to the value of a Vlad Jr yet that was the expectation. Its baffling to me. Sounds like the Marlins decided to be petty. I'm just glad our front office went hard after Yellich and were willing to eat money to make it happen.
  8. So he got Fowler money. What he was expected to get going into free agency. I am glad the Jays didn't touch him at 5 years. Cain was actually drafted and developed by the Brewers and made his debut for them. So its kind of a nice home coming for him.
  9. Still hoping Larry Walker gets in. But its looking bleak.
  10. I wish I could use VR my eyes don't agree with it. But using VR for competitive advantage in the future makes a lot of sense. I know the Washington Wizards use it. Kelly Oubre Jr. credits it for helping him become a better 3 point shooter.
  11. You would think he would want to get as far away from the AL East as humanly possible.
  12. For me the best thing is that hes conscious of his stirkeouts and low walk total. Most players with his line wouldn't give a s*** about those numbers if they hit some homeruns. Hes just trying to become a better player anyway he can and I like that.
  13. It's not that I disagree with what your saying. But as long Major League Baseball qualifies him as a Rookie and prospect he should be listed as such. Keith Law is the only one who choose not and he did it because hes Keith Law. MLB's international free agent rule is dumb but he still fits under that threshold as well.
  14. So Law doesn't count Ohtani as a prospect although the rest of the industry does lol.
  15. Great move for the Giants. Baseball contracts really are changing.
  16. They are 1-year relievers. Who cares how old they are lol.
  17. Sanchez 2.0
  18. Siegrist seems like the perfect fit. Oh is a nice guy to target as well. One dominating year and one s***** year. But I would like to think hes somewhere more in the middle. Uehara is someone I would want on a one year deal but he has refused to play in Toronto before. Maybe hes over that now. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/01/koji-uehara-rejects-trade-to-blue-jays.html
  19. He wouldn't even be on a top 500 list.
  20. Its weird that the Granderson signing isn't official yet. The Blue Jays have acknowledged they have signed him but its still only a reported deal. Wonder what the hold up is.
  21. I'm not really a fan of all the passive aggressive jabs being taken at him. You have no idea what was going on his head. No idea what he was going through or dealing with. Just because his life looked great on the surface doesn't mean it actually was. In hindsight everything about what happened seemed avoidable but terrible s*** happens everyday. I will look back at his life with fond memories. I don't know if I'm the Blue Jays fan I am today without Roy Halladay. I remember wanting to stay inside on nights as kid when he pitched with us well out of the playoffs just because every time he took the mound you thought something special could happen.
  22. At least we have some depth this year. So we won't be subjected to Ryan Goins and Darwin Barney getting everyday at-bats. We have major league performers across the diamond with depth and some decent prospects knocking on the door in AAA. We could use another big bat absolutely but the Jays are in pretty good shape all things considered.
