  1. Logan Morrison signs with the Twins. First baseman Logan Morrison has reached a deal with the Twins, per a tweet from Jon Morosi of MLB.com. In a subsequent tweet, Morosi notes that the guarantee is for $6.5 million for one year, though escalators and a vesting option could take the total value of the contract all the way to $16.5 million. https://www.mlbdailydish.com/2018/2/25/17050898/twins-sign-logan-morrison
  2. Oh nice we have a major league lineup to start the game
  3. Gore has played parts of 4 major league seasons and has never recorded a hit. Hes 0-49 but has a World Series ring lol.
  4. He looked really good. He only gave up a soft single to third base with the third baseman pulled in to protect against the pen. Got some swing and miss with his fastball.
  5. Yup and this is probably the only pace of play rule I like.
  6. Biagini looks noticeably slimmer.
  7. I hope he drops that weight. I mean hes always going to be bigger but the high performance team could transform his body if he commits to it.
  8. And what if hes gets red hot and is our best hitter for a good 3 week stretch like he was last year? How do you take him out the lineup.
  9. That would be lovely but even if it doesn't come close to that I love the Jays approach in IFA.
  10. Holland would be lovely but I am sure hes holding out for a place he can close. Especially if he can't secure a multi year deal. We definitely need at least one significant addition to the bullpen
  11. He has no command and doesn't strike anybody out.
  12. Damn what a steal of a contract for the Red Sox. I was hoping they would have to reluctantly overpay him. At least they went balls deep into the luxury tax with this move.
  13. An extra motivated Donaldson doesn't sound like a bad thing. I'm not convinced hes completely gone because I don't think he will go into free agency with much demand because of his age and the quality of the free agent market. I still believe we have as good of chance to resign him as ever. If we do suck this year he will be traded at the deadline though.
  14. Unfortunately I will comfortably take the under. We just have no reason to be optimistic at this point. At least we have built in depth this year.
  15. This is a weird way to spell Lance Lynn
  16. Veteran Presents
  17. Someone has said this after every significant move and just hasn't happened unfortunately lol.
  18. True. Can’t argue with that.
  19. Still throws hard just didn’t throw any strikes last year.

We are finally rebuilding and I’m extremely excited about it. And I hope the Leafs are the team that overpay for Ryan McDonagh so I can quote this and laugh.
  21. I bet if the Blue Jays challenged him that if he wants to stay at third base he needs to get in better shape he would do it. Hes 18 he has a lot of time to turn his body type around if he wants to.
  22. If the last 2 off-seasons taught us anything its that there won't be teams lining up to give a 33-year old a 5 year 150M contract that he is likely to command. Josh Donaldson is a great player but age is not on his side. If hes been offered a significant offer by the Blue Jays he should be probably sign that. Free agent class is so star studded. I don't think the losers of Manny Machado/Bryce Harper is going to turn around a try to sign Donaldson to a monster contract.
  23. No I didn't. I understand he missed all of 2016 but outside of that he has been the picture of health and eats a lot of innings. I mean he came back last year and still pitched more innings than Cobb has his entire career. My point is if we are giving a big commitment to a pitcher I would hope they would target Lynn.
  24. I am all for Lance Lynn. I like Cobb but with his injury history and lack of durability overall I would be terrified to give him 3 or 4 year deal at around 15M.
