    Shulman is awesome. The fact that we might be getting potentially more of him next season is extremely intriguing.

    Would be nice if they stopped calling up these betas.

    It might be 3 weeks early. I would be concerned if his command was wonky. But throwing strikes has not been an issue for him. Its an agressive move but they had been extremely conservative with him through A-Ball. With Valdez going on the DL. Hes a logical move if they are considering him in September anyway. Otherwise we're just going to see another AAA scrub get hammered.

    Borucki should be starting in Toronto Wednesday night instead of Valdez.

    That was just an awful performance by Osuna. Could not locate and his velocity is down across the board. Sucks because he was one of the only fun things about the season and hes doubled his ERA in like a week.

    I always liked this ballpark its even better with that stupid hill gone.

    Wow Bautista more of that please. I didn't see that ball land.

    Not a pretty lineup but hopefully Stroman throws the ball well. We actually have a chance to win the season series believe it or not.

    Osuna's fastball still isn't back but his slider is so nasty sometimes it doesn't matter.

    No Springer and Altuve. I would like to say we will win. But we have Cesar Valdez on the mound. And quite possibly the worst OF defense ever assembled.

    Makes sense. Obviously the move was escalated by a need in AAA for a catcher. However he earned it. I know he doesn't hit for much power but to be walking more than he strikes out is pretty impressive. Hes a glove first guy but hes shown he can hit a little as well. They have been pretty aggressive with him. Montero is hurt now but its my hope we move him in August to free up a 40-man spot for a young catcher to work with Martin. Hopefully that happens. Raffy Lopez is our backup catcher for now.

    Don't worry so much about what you hear. They were likely only interested in him if he came over for nothing. That's why the trade never happened. I kinda wish we did get him because not acquiring him probably went into the decision of giving Morales a 3 year deal. Bruce is going to need to DH. If he can't play 1B. He's not a fit.

    If we can get a big return for him this off-season we gotta look to make that move. First year of arbitration and three years control. He's likely going to get record numbers for a reliever. And with his velo seemingly coming and going scares the hell out of me. Already had TJ. Started this year injured. Gotta get top value for him.

    No the cutter was 89-91 his four seamer was 93 and he hit 94 once.

    Osuna velo is definitely down. Topping out at 93 with the four seamer.

    Bringing in Aoki defensively for Bautista made to much sense for Gibbons apparently. A. To get him in his first game. B. To get a better defener in the game. And C. Getting old ass Bautista off his feet. Speaking of old ass Bautista if they don't plan on benching him and letting young players play they need to move him down. Would like to see them roll with this lineup for awhile. Atleast until we can see some young blood. If we can move some veterans this August it would be sweet.     Donaldson is definitely back and it's beautiful to see.

    Have to think Edward Olivares will get called up to Dunedin to give them a boost. They have a chance to make the Flordia State League playoffs. Good shape in the second half standings. Be nice for Bo and Vlad who have really propelled that team since moving up.
