  1. My thoughts exactly. The third year really was the killer. It's not unreasonable to think we could trade him next off-season. But we are stuck with him for now. This is a good point and that's probably what they are thinking at this point. All they really can do is wait it out. Hes going to be 33 paying him a premium right now doesn't make sense when teams will be hesitant to sign him to a 5+ year deal.
  2. It's kinda sad realising this is the last year of Josh Donaldson. And we may not even have him for the full year.
  3. Blue Jays front office when the Marlins ask for that. http://www.reactiongifs.com/r/2013/07/laughter.gif
  4. Makes s*** loads of sense. I like that idea. I have wanted him since his draft year to be honest. Also I am extremely thrilled Jay Bruce signed elsewhere. I wanted nothing to do with him. Not a bad deal for the Mets but still no thanks.
  5. He looks 35 and continues to be grossly out of shape. Colour me not very optimistic.
  6. I disagree Spanky. I think we will pitch well and the bullpen will be solid. But as is this team will continue to struggle to score runs without an impact bat. This team doesn't get on base enough. We have way to many low on base guys in our lineup.
  7. Complimenting doesn't exactly scream confidence. Complimenting suggests to me depth not adding an impact everyday player which we need in either LF or RF. Like I said I'm not trying to read to much into the words but the fact that he said hes comfortable with our outfield situation kind of bothers me. Our Outfield situation sucks.
  8. I'm trying not to read much into that article. But the fact that Shatkins said he is comfortable with the Outfielders we have to start the season kind of scares the s*** out of me. Full quote: "I think definitely that need remains and that will be one of the holes we look to fill to complement our outfielders," Atkins said. "We also feel as though we have a very good group that could be potentially at triple-A. We feel like we could start the season with the outfielders that we have. "We will definitely look to see if there’s a way to upgrade or compliment our outfield."
  9. Olivares really became an intriguing talent. I was looking forward to his progression. But Solarte will help us. Plays multiple positions, has a little pop, and has a team friendly contract. Infield depth looks good we still need to badly address the Outfield and add another starter though.
  10. I really hope this isn’t true because that’s extremely douchey. No upside to relationship when you want to f*** everyone you can. All your doing is opening yourself up to unnecessary criticism. Especially nowadays when everyone and their mother can report a story.
  11. I never said they don’t. I should have clarified in what I said is that this whole article is ********. I have time for slander pieces based on pure speculation.
  12. I call ******** on the whole Jackie Redmond thing. JD's girlfriend is way hotter than her and it's not even close.
  13. You can say the same about every player who hits deep fly balls in Colorado lol.
  14. Jays aren't giving up Bo. But I can see them trading Alford and Zeuch, and another piece while taking on some contracts that's Marlins want to move like Prado and Chen to facilitate that move.
  15. Well that was pretty enjoyable to read. They weren't conservative with Vlad Jr at all. My goodness gracious.
  16. The third year really suxxxx. I never understand what he did to get the 3rd year. He certainly wasn't in high demand. If we were giving a year deal for DH it should have been Edwin. I still think when the Royals strike out completely on resigning their guys they may be a fit for Morales. That could be wishful thinking tho. They loved him in KC tho.
  17. If Morales could find a way to make an adjustment this off season to get the ball in the air more he could have a huge year. He crushes Baseball unfortunately its way to often in the ground.
  18. They are usually signed by now. The Stanton and Ohtani things ruined several weeks of negotiations. Usually the first couple of weeks of December are popping off and most big deals are done before Christmas. Probably not going to happen this year until s*** gets nuts this week. Going to be weird seeing everyone sign in January.
  19. Well this is unexpected....
  20. Yea I would glady take one more year of Bautista if my 2 alternates we’re giving multi year deals to Carlos Gonzalez or Jay Bruce. My worst fear is were going to give Jay Bruce a 3 or 4 year deal.
  21. If they are moving Pillar out of CF they better move him to the bench or a new team because he’s useless in a corner. Cain should be playing RF in that scenario.
  22. No way I would give him Fowler type money. Especially with his leg injuries and being pushed out of CF. If we could get him at 4/65 or something like that. Sign me up.
  23. I almost have no faith he will duplicate last years success.
  24. Could that happen yes. I don't know you can say he will easily put up 5+ WAR through age 33-36 with already having issues with both calves. Unless you're adding a 4 or 5 win player via trade and addressing other key needs whether its through trade or free agency they need to get out now.
  25. Yea he would be really a perfect fit here. For four years of Yelich you offer to take on a bad contract plus add Alford, Zeuch, plus. Perhaps you take on both Prado and Chen to facilitate a move that doesn't require to give up Vlad or Bo.
