  1. Holland would be lovely but I am sure hes holding out for a place he can close. Especially if he can't secure a multi year deal. We definitely need at least one significant addition to the bullpen
  2. He has no command and doesn't strike anybody out.
  3. Damn what a steal of a contract for the Red Sox. I was hoping they would have to reluctantly overpay him. At least they went balls deep into the luxury tax with this move.
  4. An extra motivated Donaldson doesn't sound like a bad thing. I'm not convinced hes completely gone because I don't think he will go into free agency with much demand because of his age and the quality of the free agent market. I still believe we have as good of chance to resign him as ever. If we do suck this year he will be traded at the deadline though.
  5. Unfortunately I will comfortably take the under. We just have no reason to be optimistic at this point. At least we have built in depth this year.
  6. This is a weird way to spell Lance Lynn
  7. Veteran Presents
  8. Someone has said this after every significant move and just hasn't happened unfortunately lol.
  9. True. Can’t argue with that.
  10. Still throws hard just didn’t throw any strikes last year.

We are finally rebuilding and I’m extremely excited about it. And I hope the Leafs are the team that overpay for Ryan McDonagh so I can quote this and laugh.
  12. I bet if the Blue Jays challenged him that if he wants to stay at third base he needs to get in better shape he would do it. Hes 18 he has a lot of time to turn his body type around if he wants to.
  13. If the last 2 off-seasons taught us anything its that there won't be teams lining up to give a 33-year old a 5 year 150M contract that he is likely to command. Josh Donaldson is a great player but age is not on his side. If hes been offered a significant offer by the Blue Jays he should be probably sign that. Free agent class is so star studded. I don't think the losers of Manny Machado/Bryce Harper is going to turn around a try to sign Donaldson to a monster contract.
  14. No I didn't. I understand he missed all of 2016 but outside of that he has been the picture of health and eats a lot of innings. I mean he came back last year and still pitched more innings than Cobb has his entire career. My point is if we are giving a big commitment to a pitcher I would hope they would target Lynn.
  15. I am all for Lance Lynn. I like Cobb but with his injury history and lack of durability overall I would be terrified to give him 3 or 4 year deal at around 15M.
  16. I wonder if they plan to start Vlad and Bo in Dunedin and move them up to New Hampshire when the weather warms up. People thought it was a lock they would open the season in Double-A but now I'm not so sure.
  17. I mean there is reason to believe that perhaps Bautista isn't actually as terrible as he was last season. He didn't just decline his talent fell off the map.
  18. Well the Red Sox will sign JD Martinez. It's really a matter of when and not if. Either they have to offer more or JD Martinez comes down to there offer. They are really bidding against themselves so no really hurry to get that done. If the Padres are considering offering Hosmer the type of money rumoured to be out there. They should probably be in the running for Martinez if Hosmer returns to the Royals.
  19. They should probably just re-brand completely at this point. Cleveland fans hate the Block C logo. Just lose the Indians altogether.
  20. Is that list even updated? It still says 2017. No way Acuna is #3 thats absurd.
  21. He has started 20 games at second base in the minors. 14 of them last year all at Lansing. However he started at SS every game he played for Dunedin.
  22. I don't even understand the rationale behind this. Vlad Jr is a mega prospect and what the Brewers gave up doesn't even compare to the value of a Vlad Jr yet that was the expectation. Its baffling to me. Sounds like the Marlins decided to be petty. I'm just glad our front office went hard after Yellich and were willing to eat money to make it happen.
  23. So he got Fowler money. What he was expected to get going into free agency. I am glad the Jays didn't touch him at 5 years. Cain was actually drafted and developed by the Brewers and made his debut for them. So its kind of a nice home coming for him.
